it's a small world after all

A new employee at my workplace who I met about two weeks ago emailed me yesterday asking if I know her younger brother. She gave me his name (Sheenang) and said that he claimed knowing me. I sat there repeating his name over and over in my mind (shee-nang, shee-nang, shee-nang....), scanning my little memory slots. And then it clicked! "IB SIM NEEJ"!!! That was how I remembered his name back then, because his name reminded me of a Hmong song called "Ib Sim Neej".

I met him through mutual friends about 10 years ago. He was in a boyband. They were pretty good dancers, too. If I remember correctly, they signed some sort of music contract and went travelling or whatever. I think he's in MN right now.

Any ways, that was pretty neat. Maybe I'll catch up with him or something.
