Hi..

I just found a good article...and like to ask questions.

http://www.cjapan.net/en/content/imperial-...jomonainu-japan

many japanese harbor the idea of their shared origins in South east asia as a root tree of their lineages.
maybe, this is insulting to proud Vietnamese to have unique civilization, Dong son civilization,
that japanese thinks this way, but how does Vietnamese people think
of the possibility that Japanese emperor is the south east asian origin?

The article said O2b1 marker is only found in Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, North china, Japan (including Okinawa)..
and D markers are also in south east asia and in tibet, and some islands ,, don't rememember the name, but near india.

Even if all this research was factual sure it's somewhat of an interesting read but still doesn't do good for neither us or the Japanese. Wouldn't change a thing.

Jomon are australoid not austronesian...get it right

2 totally different things

many austronesians are mongoloid...though australoid is an actual race...which the Ainu/Jomon fall under

in that theory then all of Asia descended from Sundaland(the area between Northern Vietnam and Southern China)...so why doesn't Vietnam just claim the chinese empire, Korean kingdom, Cambodian empire, Srivaijya and Majapit Empires while they are at it

Sundaland is between southern china and northern vietnam...indonesia and malaysia were populated by daic people who migrated southward after the han expansion into southern china...though Indonesia is much much more varied....it is probably the most diverse country in SEAsia

the only similarity that has received my attention is the story of Momotaro: it shares some similarities with the Lamang legend from the Northern Philippines.

We wouldn't care. Most likely there was no such thing as ethnic "Viet" or "Kinh" back then. embarassedlaugh.gif
