Nice, but don't try committing sexual activity with it.

Mac sucks because most of the software are Proprietary and I also tried to develop softwares for Mac using Objective C (Mac's Programming Language) and I cannot even deploy it because you have to pay big amount of money to certify the software to be able to deploy it to the Mac and Iphones. In the end Apple will still own the Software and benefit from it not the Developer.

Ubuntu still rules.

Mac and Windows suck.

Macs are great except for the fact that microsoft makes everything not work for macs. And all the companies like y ahoo etc, hate macs.

But macs give you mac if you know what i mean.

So dont listen to mac haters, and enjoy your mac. Mac here mac there, mac at lunch mac at dinner.

Mac are cool---they're just overpriced. They're best for video editors or graphic design (industry standard). I personally have an OCZ.

Overpriced? Not at all, if you value innovative design and reliability. In terms of esthetics, PCs and laptops are quite bland compared to iMacs and Macbooks. You're also paying for the epic customer service.

It's mostly Window's fault if today I am a smug Mac user :P

If you are willing to spend over 2 grand for design, 'reliability' and customer service, then price wouldn't be much of a factor for you to begin with. But fact remains fact: Macs are more expensive. The new PC ads which attack exactly that (price) has been the only effective ad campaign against MAC that has hurt Mac sales. I sell Macs, btw. I just got a request to invoice 130 grand worth of their products last week.

As I say this, in the Apple Keynotes they have slashed some prices down (probably to combat the well known fact that they are more expensive). Overall it's a really good move on Apple's part to counter PC ads. However, Apple, at it's cheapest, hoover around $1000. Go on Dell and you can find a computer starting at around $600. The Mac that's at a grand will either be a little better or comparable to the $600 PC. So much about Mac is style--if your willing to pay for it than you're not thinking more about price---in which case you alienate a lot of people, especially in these economic times. It's like saying BMW's aren't overpriced---because you value design, etc. I guess it depends where you're coming from and what you consider "overpriced."

PCs in general are cheaper but since I bought my first mac two years ago I understand now why Macs are more expensive. Because they put lots of time and money in something that truly works!

laugh.gif Nice pumpkin. Did you really make that ?
Looks like you got snow as well, huh ?

I have always wanted to get a Mac for use as an A/V workstation.
All the folks in the industry are giving me a hard time, because according to them a professional Mac setup is the only way to fly.
But to begin with I reckon I'll just play around with my PC until I get more familiar with computers in general.

i carved it, but it looks nicer in pic. if you actually look at it, the surface is not smooth..lol too about 45 min!!
i like PCs b/c they are easier to use than macs, but it's not as good b.c it's slower and you can't do a lot of programming with it.

Apple macs may come with simple, elegant design, and supposedly have better photo, music, video, and DVD-creation software compared to PCs, but for most people on a budget, those who like to tinker with their computers, and gamers, the PCs would give them arguably better value for their money, offer much more choice, and run their games faster.
