I'm going to HK/China in the winter and I want to get phone there. It's cheaper [hopefully?] and they have cooler styles [hopefully]. If they use a SIM card, then it should be no problem right?
Do you guys have any suggestions as to which phone I should get? |

I want features + looks! hehe So as long as it's GSM tri band 800/1900 then I'm good to go right? Oh yeah. I don't need a phone that can play mp3s though...so just a good camera, color screen, that stuff. <3 lance! QUOTE (Mr.T @ Dec 6 2005, 03:17 PM) Fake PHONES?! How can I tell the difference? Mmmm, atm, i can only suggest sony ericsson (coz i have one :p)
naa, snoy has the most technology stuff built into a phoen in my opinion, with the nice 2megapixel camera, and memory card thing, style aint too bad (but everyone has one) not too into nokia, their designs doesnt seem to be able to keep up with all other phones thats out do u like flip phones? and what about size? big or small? <3 u |

I like flip phones! It protects the screen more. And probably a medium sized phone. Big ones are too much of a hassle to carry around and you look weird with them. So medium to small. I like the DoCoMo phones, but I don't know if HK has them...

you can use japanese phones, but only certain ones. most of the good ones you cant -.-
but most of the ones you can use out of japan that are relatively new arent 800/1900 or whatever for america, like the asus jsomethingorother i suggest going to the cell store and browsing... they should have a lot of choices displayed that you can check out because there might be one better than what you have your heart set on. |

The I-mode phones don't work overseas.
It's best if you know someone in HK who knows where to buy the phones because there are a lot of dodgy stuff and they'll rip you off. |

and don't let them catch you staring at one item for too long otherwise the staff will come up to you and talk talk talk and they'll never let you go until you buy it
