Roaches has been on earth since the Devonian Period of the Paleozoic Era (that is some 400 Million years ago!). But has evolved very little since then.
If man is still unsuccessful in his quest of obliterating his own kind, then it will still be man who will dominate the earth. He sure is the most dangerous animal in the solar system! |

I think the most dominant forms of animal life, in terms of the number of species and in terms of mass of the animals, are certainly the insects. Literally millions of different kinds exist, and the sheer amount of insect flesh is almost incalculable.
But I don’t think they will take over the world. |
