Going back to my earlier post, what would the opposite to replacing "da" with "jima" be? In other words how would I tell someone to do something in the strongest way? (in Japanese you'd say "飲め", meaning "Drink!")
Thanks again! |

In other words how would I tell someone to do something in the strongest way? (in Japanese you'd say "飲め", meaning "Drink!") Thanks again! hmm..as for that form it's kinda complicated, there's no definite pattern that i can think of like -jima does. example. as for drink, command would be ma-syuh(마셔){drink} from masi-da(마시다){to drink}. see how ㅕ(yuh) is added to ㅅ(siot) taking out -i-da(ㅣ다). however, it wont work with every verbs you'll see, like muk-da(먹다){to eat} will become muk-uh(먹어){eat} replacing -da(다) with -uh(어) to it. and bo-da(보다){to see} will be (봐){look} adding -ah(ㅏ) to boh(보) taking -da(다) out. and ja-da(자다){to sleep} would simply be ja(자){sleep} dropping -da(다) without adding anything...not masi-uh(마시어), ma-sah(마사) or masi(마시) which has no meanings at all. i guess you just have to memorize as you encounter..>_<;; |

In my korean class i'm having trouble with making sentences. For example, if I want to say "I see a book" do I say na nun check oul po ah e's uh yo? ( sorry I dont have korean on my comp and Im not good at spelling -_-) How do you conjugate then endings of verbs that end in "da," like to see it po-da, to write is sue-da, etc.
