hMMMMMM , i just wish i hadnt thrown away my old history book between china and Khmer empire. I'll let you win because my proof of what I learnt from history book of Chau tha Guan was missing. I admitted that I lost for now until I'll collect my datas to proof it to you.

Chinese fireworks use gunpowder to light up, if the Khmer didn't use gunpowder then we have different type of firework.

The Forbidden City.

Angkor Wat.

How Angkor Wat would have looked like when the Chinese ambassador visited the Khmer Empire during the Yuan Dynasty.

Forbidden city was designed solely by Ruan An (阮安), a vietnamese enuch in the Ming court. Zhou lived on different era.

No seriously, we know the Angkor empire is a flourishing and advanced civilization, but seriously Zhou Da Guan was sent by Temur Khan during Yuan dynasty at 1295, while gunpowder fireworks was used by by emperors of Song (Notably 理宗) before the takeover of Yuan. So there is a chronological fallacy on that theory. Independent fireworks inventions may exist since the chinese used non gunpowder fireworks before the invention of gunpowder.

The photos you posted show only architectural elements of Chinese buildings. Of course they are going to be different from Angkorean architecture. No $hit!

Dude, I am not talking about the overall structure or architectural elements of the buildings but the whole layout of both complexes, that is, the central structures in the middle of the complexes, the square moats around the complexes, and important buildings within the moats.

That is why I posted satellite images or both complexes. I wouldn't be surprise if some of those Chinese visitors that visited Angkor city bought back stories or drawings back to China which could have influenced the development of the Forbidden City.

Here is a clip of Thon jay in China , when, he served the Chinese emperor nom banh jok with chopsticks. The story was written by my uncle, maybe I can find out from him. As far as 99.99999% khmer always knew that chopsticks were made by Chinese. Thon Jay, himself, proably learnt how to use chopsticks when he was in China, and returned to Cambodia and influenced us. According to history,Chinese came to contact with the Khmer empire many centuries before the fall of the Khmer empire.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KukwoyEN4A

But the Khmer were the first people who invented firework, according to Chau tha Guan , the Chinese embassador( spy ) who came to Cambodia in 1294-1297 . He brought the invention of firework and fire crackers back to China. Also, the model of Angkor wat (one of Chau tha Guan favorite temple ) was sketched in Chinese fashion to make the forbidden kingdom in Beijing.

wow, you really are delusional.

Forbidden City

Weiyang

open your eyes. clearly Forbidden city is undeniably similar to Weiyang palace that precede it.

everything you mention is wishful thinking. there are no retarded moats nor even squares. hahaha i think it is hilarious you could even think Angkor influence Chinese. embarassedlaugh.gif talk about dreaming.

both palaces and the mausoleum i listed, all which have rectangular base, with buildings going up in incline, were around 200 BC. 1000 years before Angkor was even built!

I love karma. Now Chinese members are experiencing the wrath of Khmer members and their Khmer arrogance. LOL!

I'm enjoying every minute of this. So now Khmers are claiming Chinese cultural elements as Khmer inventions. biggthumpup.gif

First Thai, then Lao, and now Chinese. Pretty soon now, Khmer members will be claiming all Asian cultures as their own. icon_twisted.gif

KRAP = Khmer Rudeness, Arrogance, and Pride

^ it's definitely in full effect. Khmers are going after Chinese culture now....hahahahaha!

Khmers are not taking credit for Chinese inventions. I don't know much about the forbidden city so I will not put my two cents into that discussion.

Khmers know we didn't invent chopsticks, fireworks, & noodles. Stop trying to instigate.

Matter of fact even though we don't share similar culture as China. Cambodia thinks highly of the Chinese. They even celebrate "Chinese New Years" in Cambodia and the Cambodian government had a close relationship with them and always looked up to China. So there is really no hate towards the Chinese in Cambodians eyes. If Cambodia had to choose between the US and China I guarentee you the leaders will favor China by a landslide.

Don't make $hit up. You don't represent every Khmer person. The other Khmer members in here are clearly claiming the invention of chopsticks, firecrackers, and the design of the forbidden city. beerchug.gif

Thewiseguy has the typical Khmer mentality. His own people are starting $hit with others as usual, but thewiseguy would rather make me the scapegoat. Khmer members are claiming Chinese cultural elements, but this is my fault? LOL!

Many Khmer members are obviously insecure because they had tried to claim Thai culture and then Lao culture, but now they're going after Chinese culture. Why can't Khmers just be proud of their own culture? Why do they have to latch on to ours?

How are Khmer members starting $hit? Have you read negative comments from Khmers towards the chinese in this thread?

Preahvilhear even stated chopsticks didn't originate from us
Viesna typed it's a Chinese invention
Menguy also said it wasn't a khmer invention

I disagree with Viesna about the fireworks invention though because as we all know Khmers didn't invent that. Even Viesna joked around and said Khmers didn't invent some of the stuff he claimed in his earliers posts.

Your the one that wants to instigate a potential Khmer/Chinese AF war by saying Khmers are starting $hit when we aren't saying anything bad about the chinese.
