The 80's was the best decade for music.

The Smiths - How Soon is Now
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUMh8GQnDW8

New Order - True Faith
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzeNAUOp17c

Tears for Fears - Pale Shelter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZi2yZGZnrM

The Cure - Love Song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCtIih2HR8Y

Frankie Goes to Hollywood - The Power of Love
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdnAbtIF3YM

The Lover Speaks - No More I love Yous
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdNOCj_35Po

Although this current decade is shaping up to be awesome and might overthrow it. Thanks to sites like youtube and soundclick, it's easier for talent to get exposure.

Right on!!!! You got yourself a supporter. The 80's was OLD GOLD!!!! Unlike artists today who just utter syllables to fit their drum beats or guys who moan "baby, baby, ooh, baby" like a chick in a vertical 69.

My personal favourites are:
Lionel Richie
Bryan Adams
Frank Sinatra
Connie Francis
Elvis
Bon Jovi
Rod Steward
Ozzie Osbourne and Michael Jackson. I won't list the songs cos I love all of theirs.

At first the mention of the '80 makes me groan in dismay, but then Sumpit reminded me a few I actually liked ... and still do. Came as a bit of surprise to me.

Survivor - Eye of the Tiger (though better covered by Big Daddy)
Cindy Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Aerosmith (several cuts)
Salt N Peppa (several cuts)
Chaka Khan (several cuts)
Janet Jackson - All released songs from her Rhythm Nation 1814 album
All Prince (& the revolution)
All Tina Turner

I HATE 80's songs. As a matter of fact, I hate most things 80's. Like the current fashion trend with tight clothing, it looks so 80's. YUCK.
