Try to write this in a single box of Chinese school notebook. ![]() Ye right, though, I agree traditional is way more beautiful. I saw this in the bbc website. I thought it's a made-up character. It looks too perfect (as an example of multi-stroke character) to me. If it's real, what does it mean? And can anyone type it out in Unicode instead of showing it in a picture? |

A language should be simple to learn so I think China should just come up with a new writing system. As for the traditional writing system, it should be preserved by artists in the art of calligraphy.

Okay lets take this discussion in a new direction--do you feel simplified or traditional is easier to read, fast? Also, which system are you more familar with using, when you give your answer?

Also, which system are you more familar with using, when you give your answer? traditional is faster to read but slower to write (actually for me, i'm so used to the traditional that i think i'll write slower with simplified) |
