guys i'm lot of pain right now. i have a major toothache in the upper right portion of the jaw and because of it my whole head is affected; i'm feeling a nasty migraine and my eyes feel like they're going to pop out. on top of that i'm feeling the chills so i think i may have the fever.

i can't eat anything right now and the pain is driving me nuts. maybe it's some studpid cavity or molar.

i'm no doctor, but doctor google says:
QUOTE
oothache" usually refers to pain around the teeth or jaws primarily as a result of a dental condition. In most instances, toothaches are caused by tooth problems, such as a dental cavity, a cracked tooth, an exposed tooth root, or gum disease. However, disorders of the jaw joint (temporo-mandibular joint) can also cause pain that is referred to as "toothache." The severity of a toothache can range from chronic and mild to sharp and excruciating. The pain may be aggravated by chewing or by cold or heat. A thorough oral examination, which includes dental X-rays, can help determine whether the toothache is coming from a tooth or jaw problem and the cause.

Sometimes, a toothache may be caused by a problem not originating from a tooth or the jaw. Pain around the teeth and the jaws can be symptoms of diseases of the heart (such as angina or heart attack), ears (such as inner or external ear infections), and sinuses (air passages of the cheekbones). For example, the pain of angina (inadequate supply of oxygenated blood to the heart muscle because of narrowing of the arteries to the heart) is usually located in the chest or the arm. However, in some patients with angina, a toothache or jaw pain is the only symptom of their heart problem. Infections and diseases of the ears and sinuses can also cause pain around the teeth and jaws. Therefore, evaluations by both dentists and doctors are sometimes necessary to diagnose medical illnesses causing "toothache."

you know people have died from tooth infections, right?

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/2...on_spreads.html

QUOTE
An unemployed Cincinnati man with no health insurance died after a tooth infection spread to his brain because he couldn't afford treatment, relatives said.

Kyle Willis, 24, came down with a toothache two weeks ago and was told he needed to have one of his wisdom teeth removed.

But Willis - whose uncle is famed bass player Bootsy Collins - decided to tough it out because he was out of work and couldn't afford the treatment.

Soon after, he began getting headaches and his face swelled, so he went to an emergency room. He was told an infection was in danger of spreading to his brain.

Krateros it is better to pay out of pocket and relieve the pain if you did not have health insurance. I am gambling with my life too because I opted out of my health insurance plan because it is somewhat pricey. Mostly it is because I rarely get sick, but you never no the unexpected. I will definitely need it when I get married and have kids, but I need a better premium plan and job. No matter the premium costs it is better to have some insurance than none at all if god forbid I get in an accident and injured. icon_confused.gif

I've learned that teeth are nothing to mess around with. Its amazing how painful and expensive treatment can be if you don't take care of your teeth properly. They will mess you up bad if you ignore them!
A long time back, I was hit in the face with a baseball. I didn't think anything of it. But it wound up being a ticking time bomb. After feeling random throbbing in my lower gums years later, I found out that my bottom front teeth had become infected and I had to get a root canal done. My dad decided to get it done in India while I was on vacation there since it was 10x cheaper than in the USA.

That was a bad decision. The doctor was bad, imagine getting a root canal with poor anesthesia, where you can feel the dentist
drilling into your teeth and scraping out the damaged nerves. Its the worst pain I ever went though, it felt like I was being tortured in some prison camp. Every scrape of him pulling out my infected nerves in my teeth was
like getting stabbed.

The doc in India also extracted one of my front teeth, saying it was beyond saving. So, it looks really bad when I smile now. I came back to the U.S and my local dentist
told me the Indian dentist did an incomplete job on the root canal and they could have saved the tooth he pulled out. So I had to pay again to get the root canal done properly here back home.

Even now, I still think of going back to India to get an implant for my missing front tooth, since its crazy expensive in the U.S. I didn't exactly go to the most reputable dentist in the area.

But avoiding tooth care will cost you DEARLY, even if years later like for me. I don't mess around with my teeth. I really feel for you KraterosHellas.

all the more reason to brush/floss your teeth and use mouthwash everyday
I think meat and sugar does more damage to your teeth too.
