We all know Thais can't pronounce NY. They can only say Y sound. LOL!
Thai language has no NY sound that exists in Laotian, French, Spanish and other languages. |

Savan, Thai language has more consonants and vowels than Lao language. Actually Lao is a subset of Thai language. Does it tell you some thing about that funny NY sound you are talking about? Please prove to us that we don't have R sound. We know how to speak our own language and yes, we have R sound, but we don't go crazy with it. We don't have a speech impediment. What is an R sounding word in the Lao language. Funny you brought this up because I asked my Laotian friends to come up with an R sounding word in the Lao language and they can't. |

Thai is more stupid because Thai script does not match how Thais actually pronounce their words. Please prove to us that we don't have R sound. We know how to speak our own language and yes, we have R sound, but we don't go crazy with it. We don't have a speech impediment. We also have CH, but we prefer to pronounce it as S and only say CH when necessary. I don't know where you live, but CH is an easy sound to make, but too much of it sounds funny. And dipthongs? Do you realize what dipthongs are? They're just two consonants next to one another. Prove to us that Laotian language does not have consonants side by side. Again, excessive use of dipthongs in tonal languages sound funny. Which language is stupid and funny? Now do you know how to speak Spanish properly or do you change NY sound to Y like other thais?
