you see, embargo is a 2 edged sword, only looks like a good trade off if the guy you're pulling it on isn't important for your economy.

Except that the US manufacturing would love to see an embargo on Chinese goods.
China would love to see more GM, Walmart, Ford, Apple foreign direct investment. China's middle class is thriving from foreign exploitation of China's seeming inexhaustible supply of cheap labor. Then again, Americans can't live without those cheap Walmart products lol. I think the trade surplus is towards China's side (meaning China is getting a lot of US investment) while US is enjoy low cost Chinese products.
