Those are not best pictures of old Saigon. But still, the city had some "chic" characteristic about it, when compared with other cities of VN, like Hanoi for example, during that era.

Someone needs to change their name to "Công Chúa Thành Hồ" cuz since the VNCH's gone, Saigon lost its name.

I'm sorry but the name of "Saigon" wasn't created by the VNCH. It was there long before the VNCH regime was ever created and it wasn't gone with the VNCH beerchug.gif

Looks extremely unpleasant, looks like the government would kill you for even the slightest infraction. No wonder the majority of the country sided against that.

That was during the war era, what you expected? And guess what? When the VC took over, people started fleeing massively.
