Cool pics.

What did you make of each of the insects that you tried out?

I've had kangaroo before and it's great. It tastes similar to beef, but if you eat enough beef you can sense the difference.

I've heard that croc tastes like a very meaty fish?

How were the ostrich and turtle?

Those sea worms looked like fried noodles and frog legs taste really good. Anyways, that meal was loaded with protein. Did you order all that from a Thai restaurant or did you make it yourself?

Scorpion...it doesn't have a very distinct taste...I'd say it's all in the texture. That's how I felt about the crickets too. Yea, it's kind of crispy...lol.

The ants were actually my favorite since they have a citrus taste to them it's as if they were a flavoring agent. However, I'm not sure if the citrus taste is from the venom in their stingers?? My throat had a very mild soreness to it..I wonder if it was from the ants? Crickets and scorpion didn't have any specific taste I could make out...the texture is what separates those insects from anything else. The least favorite was the sea worms. They were really crispy and the taste was just not great or really bad...just filler weird stuff. Crocodile does taste like a meaty fish. After I ate more of it I started tasting the saltiness of it. I'd say Ostrich and Kangaroo were the most delicious. Turtle was tough and chewy.

The restaurant was an asian fusion restaurant. The scorpions were singapore style, the crickets were taiwanese style, and the sea worms were thai. They also had Mongolian lamb/beef, filipino things, chinese, vietnamese, etc.

The insects all ranged around $11 a plate. The various meats, if you got all four of them kabob style, was $11 as well.

Ostrich was definitely one of my favorites. It's like a beefier turkey.....though it doesn't taste at all like turkey. It's kind of unique. Kangaroo is unique too...it's got some musk to the taste... You people need to try it to understand I guess.

how come these sea worms have fish eyes? i've never seen a sea worm with eyes or even heard of it.

it looks more to me like some kind fish frys than sea worms.
