there is a lot of hot asian (mostly chinese and korean) girls at my college, but almost all of them go for white guys or asians who fit the "white" bill (i.e. tall, athletic, muscular, "humorous")

hmm, not so with me. most of the asian girls at my uni go for asian guys but they have to be in with their cliques. they pretty much dress similarly, similiar hairstyle, you know, the whole cantonese/HK fashion.

I don't look good in that type of fashion so I don't fit in. And they have those asian dance parties and I hate hip hop and alcohol makes me nauseated so I don't go.

so yah, im fu-ked.

my only chance is to become successful and hopefully meet a girl like me at work.

omg, you're so right. singaporean girls aren't that great, even the ethnic chinese ones.

I suppose it has to do with climate. The chinese that went there all ended up looking similiar to Malay.

But I did see the occassional chinese singaporean who was quite pale and cute. but that was rare.

and yes, they do have good figures. i remember we always used to joke around that if only we could place a paper bag over their faces.......

Well, I used to live in Jakarta and Singapore before moving to USA, the Chinese in Indonesia are hot and beautiful, since most have good living standard, and stay at home and keep away from the sun. Most Chinese in Indonesia are Fujianese though.

Singaporean Chinese girls are just below average compared to other Chinese, I am sorry to say... we use to joke around... that they're nice to look at from behind and once they turn around... ouch!!!!!!

On Second thought, Singapore do have a lot of good looking Euroasians though.

Agree... We gotta give them credit for building that country from skratch. Very competent people, highly skilled, though not exactly the friendliest.

Well, at least, most still speak Mandarin or Hokkien with pockets of Hakka and Cantonese, but they do think that they're no longer Chinese, only Chinese by blood and in physical look but not exactly in culture and way of life, especially the younger generation. It's getting worse too, they're just confused people, even my Singaporean friends admit to this.

yah i noticed that too. they're really confused at where their roots lie. they for sure don't want to get used to the malaysian culture cause they tend to look down on malaysians.

but they dont really connect with chinese culture as well. and they embrace western culture but they don't fit that very well either, especially with their singlish.

I'm in the same shoes as you. I lived all over the place, growing up in South East Asia but Chinese by blood, and later moved to HK, France and USA. I don't exactly can relate 100% with any the countries I've lived at. Sometimes I ask myself ...

i have family in Yunnan. We're originally from the north but during the revolution, some of my extended family went to Kunming in Yunnan. I've spent a lot of time there. most of the urban people in kunming are Han but even then, the sun has damaged their skin that they look like southeast asians.

trust me, dude. Yunnan people are one of the worst in china. it's like they are a different race from other chinese.

When I lived in Beijing and visited other parts of China, i noticed everyone was much better looking.

Well, I guess I gotta trust you. I have never been there, but judging from where it's located, most people are probably darker than the rest of China, though my friend said they look exotic in a Thai, Viet mixed kind of way. But I guess he was just bluffing

Beijing is a good place, but definitely Cheng Du in SiChuan.

Don't take it too seriously, I am southern Chinese too, or eastern...they may brag about the northern being more beautiful.....it's their right and which I cannot agree with.

yeah you shouldnt take this seriously. almost all the cantonese have seen this by now, but its like, either they dont care, or like me, they have decided Chinese against Chinese is unacceptable. ive dropped this beef completely, you can say w/e you want and i wont respond.

besides, when DR is in the convo, no one takes it seriously anyway.
