Thai speak more Khmerish/Mon then Lao people do. I'm not sure why Thai denied their direct ancestor of the Khmer/Mon because it doesn't make sense to put Siamese into Tai category. From what I can see from Thai history is that it began as Siamese was the higher power, but as time went, the power balance shifted to become more Tai. Thai people have always claimed their culture comes form Mon people. Who denies it? lol is it your imagination again? silly boy. |
