There are always "outliers" in every places. Truth is Hoang My's look is quite rare in Hanoi, if I don't want to say I haven't seen any...but she's still Viet and that's all it matters. You shouldn't make a big deal because of one comment. If you want to verify, just come to Hanoi and see.

Let alone Hanoi, even in Saigon, I wouldn't say her look is the "majority" even though I've seen a number of people with Hoang My's look in Saigon.

Why would I post Hoang My if I didn't like her? I'm open to all kinds of beauty/looks, the only thing I hate is major "cake face" and "plastic look".

Ngọc Khanh and who else? Can you list? Hoàng My herself is half central Vietnamese, where the Cham used to inhabit, but that doesn't matter because even in Hanoi you got lots of "rare" types of looks too, because people have been migrating around for centuries (you said it yourself, lots of Hanoians are not originally from there, this is not a recent phenomenon but this has been happening for centuries as Hanoi was the capital of Dai Viet, there was even a Cham town in Hanoi in the past, yes there was a Chinese town in Hanoi too, because many Cham and Chinese merchants came there to trade, though both Cham and Chinese towns were rather short-lived). But does it matter as long as you accept them and acknowledge that they're full Viet? Just small comments like she looks Latina shouldn't matter much, since in Vietnam we do have some Latina-looking people (without being mixed with foreigners like French or American, as fireplant may put). Yes, you can also say that Thanh Hoa girl look Chinese, but in Vietnam we also do have Chinese-looking people, without being mixed with Chinese.

Yea, I stated that I think that girl at Miss Universe look "more" Filipina than Vietnamese, most likely due to all the makeup and photoshop, and obviously that ticked Tav6 off and there we go.

Well the look of those girls which vance posted is not rare here. I've seen quite many with that kind of look, though they're not as good-looking in pics

I think they are all good looking. No one really fat, no one really ugly. I bet both the guys and girls, if they got dressed up to go out, they would all look great.

In fact, I can tell a few are handsome/pretty as is.

Didn't I say "in my opinion" in the very first place? I don't make a definite assertion that she looks Latina or Filipina. I said "in my opinion". If you don't agree, then it's all good. Let's not drag on the argument.

But to be honest, Cát Tiên's nose is too tall and big for most people here.

first of all those pictures are NOT CLEAR because i can barely see their faces so i can not conclude anything

the reason why i choose this picture of hoang my to compare is because she wears light makeup here which is closer to her natural face with no makeup on



but she has to put on tones of makeup on when she is on stage or else she would look dead on stage with all that light shine down on her
