Brown rice sucks IMO. I tried to switch to it because it's healthier but I can't, it's hella grainy and chewy.

Just switched to brown rice recently. It takes a bit getting used to at first. It's not that bad after a while especially if you mix it with white rice.

It doesn't really go. I ate it with bangus one time, it's almost like trying to eat with bread. I guess it could go with something like Tocino or maybe corned beef. Try it out though, I know a few people who have switched to it and learned to like it.

My Filipino friend eats it because her mom is diabetic. I've tried it once and it's not too bad but I wouldn't switch it from my jasmine rice <33

I switched to brown rice years ago. Of course, at first you may not like it. But if you get to like it, I swear, you wouldn't want to go back to white rice anymore. It may be hard to adjust in the beginning fore some people. They feel like half-cooked rice in the mouth, as my wife describes it. It takes longer to cook them. And if you want it softer, you'll just have to add some more water or soak them for sometime, say, 20-30 minutes before you cook them.

But I never had a problem adjusting to it, since maybe because I grew up in a family who never had the chance to use automatic rice cookers until we siblings all grew up and leave home. We only had the regular Kaldero which made a lot of "tutong". I actually like "tutong" better than the nicely cooked rice itself.

About a month or so ago, I bought a stainless steel inner pot rice cooker. My intention of buying was to avoid aluminum and non-stick pot. It came out more than what I want. It makes a lot of "tutong". And the "tutong" from brown rice is excellent.

Let's shift to brown rice man, there are a lot of benefits which you'll notice. I buy the Tsuru Mai brand now since it's less expensive. I used to buy the Shirakiku and Nishiki brands, but the Tsuru Mai tastes just as good.

In this household, it's brown rice during the weekdays, white rice during weekends. I prefer white rice though, just trying to be a bit healthier.

Try mixing them with white rice first. We also cook mix for my daughter who's still a toddler. But she likes to eat our full brown rice but we don't give it to her.
I found brown rice good for me because I eat a lot of rice. Fat collects on my belly too fast with white rice. With brown rice, I don't have to limit my rice intake.

Tried eating brown rice instead of white rice, but didn't like it much, so instead i tried black sticky rice and liked it just fine, so for now i'm replacing white rice with black sticky rice.

If brown rice is not suitable for you, try red rice.

Red rice is better and is similarly healthier option than white rice. It is just like brown rice in terms of health benefits.

Nowadays I eat red rice whenever I can.
