Interesting article I found. It says Asian-American women have a higher rate of STD's than Caucasian women. And Asian-American women are 4 times more likely to have STD's than Asian-American men.

I don't know what this allmeans.

Over the course the study, Hahm unmasked some myths common about Asian Americans. She said, “There’s a perception that Asian Americans in particular aren’t practicing sexually risky behaviors. But we found that Asian American young women are at risk of high STDs. For instance, Asian American women had a higher prevalence of STDs than White women in both 1995 (10.4% vs. 7.7) and 2001 (13.5% vs. 8.3%). The incidence of STDs (not diagnosed with STDs in 1995, but developed STIs in 2001) among Asian American women was also higher than that of White women."

Moreover, the power dynamic between genders became immediately clear. Asian American women were four times more likely to have a STD than their male counterparts. “This was shocking,” said Hahm, “It was so much higher than the males.”

i think it's one of the reasons asian-american women tend to be attracted to religion as they think it will give them respectability. especially the ones who married nonasian americans.

as for those who aren't as religious, they usually are just the extreme opposite and all about money and climbing the ladder for prestige.

Opportunities:

1. Involving affected communities in prevention planning. HIV prevention community planning involves racial/ethnic minority communities in determining the HIV prevention needs of their communities. STD programs, though somewhat different from HIV programs, can learn from this HIV prevention experience to help them identify ways to involve affected communities in STD prevention efforts.
2. Syphilis concentrated in the South. Focusing research and program efforts on syphilis in the South will allow increased opportunity to better focus prevention efforts on minority populations, both in terms of preventing syphilis and congenital syphilis and in terms of indirectly reducing HIV transmission.
3. Growing understanding of need for population-tailored programs. There is a growing understanding of the importance of culturally competent and linguistically appropriate behavioral interventions for STD and HIV prevention in minority communities. The increasing involvement of community-based organizations and national minority organizations in STD and HIV prevention affords an opportunity to capitalize on that understanding.
4. Negative STD-related consequences concentrated among minorities. As minority women have higher rates of chlamydia, gonorrhea and their consequences, there is an opportunity to avoid less effective generic prevention efforts and rather, to tailor prevention efforts to these populations.

Part of it is partially naturally the fault of our ancestors.

Our ancestors treated women like objects and whores , our male ancestors were far too dominant. Our female ancestors are programmed to be whores for us , and being that we were never aggressively racist - we never instilled education to degrade and enslave other races or for our females to find disgust in other races. This is deeply engrained into our cultural psyche.

Along the way , other groups saw this and exploited the women seeing that they were obedient and ready to do whatever to please , they had never seen anything like it.

Perhaps its the anti Chinese environment and the all Vietnamese war movies that remind these women or families some common sense.

Its so humiliating how black G.Is have positive experiences in asia because thier simply percieved as American by asians and not N*ggas like in thier own country so a lot of them have a thing for asian girls too, which they tell to all thier civilian friends back home who in turn start looking for asian girls..
