Trying to make yourself look Eurasian?? Options

One of my Asian friends is very into her dyed hair, contacts, (even skin bleach ), anything to make herself seem less Asiany. And she's pushing me to do the same cus she says I could easily pass off as Eurasian if I tried (I don't. at all lol). Is this even a good idea/a good look?? Do people actually like looking at brown hair+green/blue/light brown eyes when they're not real?? It's a trend I'm not really getting at the moment. I don't really know who she's trying to appeal to to be honest..the Asians or non-Asians?

Looking eurasian can bring attention and also be a good conversation starter, maybe thats why she does it. But its so easy to tell when asians are trying so hard to get that look (yup ur friend), its such a turn off. I also hate colored contacts on asians, contacts tend to pop out a bit so you can tell its contacts and it looks to bad to me. blehhhh

It's 1 thing to dye your hair lighter and another to completely try to change what you are.

I think your friend is trying to appeal to whatever she's surrounding herself with (media, YouTube guru's, non-Asians, i.e.), but don't fall into your friend's ways. Obviously, you feel odd about your friend's pressure to try to change your look, so you could simply ask her to accept you the way you choose to be and back off.

I also like my "natural look": dark brown/black hair, dark brown eyes, and naturally tanned.

Eurasians are seen as exoticcc, and often get the best of both worlds in terms of facial features & bone structure.

Not sure who she's trying to appeal to, but I know both asian guys & non asian guy friends that i have loveeeee the halfies.

Your friend sounds like she has low self-esteem. Hopefully the "love the skin you're in", as Olay says, materializes someday. Personally, I wouldn't find a person who tries to change themselves as attractive. It's like me bleaching my skin because I hate being black (and I don't, just speculating). I'd probably be ugly when the results came out.

I've met many Eurasians, one of my best friends is white and Korean. One I've met, a neighbor for a few years, looked entirely Asian. His sister look more like a mixture but leaning towards her white side. Then another who's in a few of my classes looks somewhat like she's hispanic. What I'm trying to say here is that people, in this case Eurasians, are diverse in appearance. So trying to make yourself look Eurasian when you're not, in my opinion, is a waste of time.

My boyfriend thought I was Eurasian when he met me hehe so silly. I think it is my big eyes that make it seem like I have white in me. a darker tone and more asiatic looking eurasian but u can see a bit of caucasian features in there


and finally a "pure" asian chick who looks a million times more eurasian than you


hmmmmm....do i see two eurasian girls down below? compared to the eurasian girl, her features and facial structure more closely resembles the two white guys in your pic sure sure, when i look at you...i automatically think "eurasian." your eurasian features really stands out and you look so much different from "pure" asian girls

Full of yourself much? YOU are the reason why so many Asians (esp girls) have identity issues and resort to whoring themselves off to any White guy they see.

Don't let the western media fool you into thinking Asians can't be attractive unless they're mixed. I prefer Asian features anyway: Wide cheekbones, small nose, wide-set eyes, full lips...You don't see too many horse-faced or hook-nosed full Asians.

IMHO, Eurasians just look like mexicans. They look "rough".

the most EURO-"asian" looking people are the non-mongoloid people of india/south asia and they're also the most mexican looking.
