Do any Asians here live in Latin America?

I've noticed that a lot of the members live in the US and Asia. Some from Australia, Canada, Europe and even Africa. Now I'm curious if there are any from Latin America on this site. Latin America is diverse, maybe not to the extent of the US and Canada, but they have quite the melting pots themselves. I want to hear about what Asians have to say about the countries they live in.

So, if there's anyone living anywhere on this map:

There's a large Filipino community down in Acapulco, but most of them are mixed in with the Mexicans.

I've seen members from Panamá, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Brasil. None are currently active. The most notable would probably be this Korean guy 'Riverplate4Life'...

Whatever, besides brasil, latinoamérica is no place for asians. Calle 13's song 'Jápón' hit #1 in like 3 countries. embarassedlaugh.gif

Chinese in Trinidad, Jamaica, Surinam, Guyana and in Central America.
Unless they have kept the Chinese surname, many look similar to the indio (indigena) or mestizo populations!

There is a huge Japanese-Brazilian population in Brazil, and a lot of them are 3rd and 4th generation Japanese. I met a few of them in my graduate program.

I also know some Japanese and Korean people living in Peru. In fact Peru had a Japanese president several years ago. Then he fled, or something bad happened, and they tried to extradite him back to Peru.

I also know some Chinese and Koreans who are from Venezuela.

I know 750 Sakha in Alaska and around 200 in Panama they are both descendands of political/wartime immigrants. + Some native Turkic peoples of Alaska.

Hakka forum has some members from throughout Latin America like Brazil and Mexico, where Chincese were brought there and some Filipinos.
