We'll my mother told me to eat alot of fruits to improve your skin but I don't think its working or it isn't working fast enough. I went to the mall with some friends and the lady's that work there offered me more than I could handle when it came to taking care of my skin. There were about 40 different kinds of lotion and creams they told me to buy...and another 40 for my skin on my face... So I was wondering what everyone uses to make their skin (face and body) look healthy.

I think it's easier to figure out what you shouldn't eat if you want to improve your skin tone. Candy, chocolate, fried/fatty foods, etc. Also there are plenty of natural things you can do to improve your skin. Drink alot of water, get exercise, and ya there are some foods that are good for the skin.

I've always had pretty decent skin (not including around puberty) and I've never used any lotions on my face.

I have really oily skin on my face for some reason. I don't eat fried foods alot (once in 2-3 weeks, I get lazy cooking) and I have acne and acne scars as well. I lift weights so I have some on my upper back. I dont know how it got there, I shower after I'm finished and I dont use any drugs/ pills or power drinks. We'll I drink powerade and water when I workout but thats about it. Not a soda drinker btw.

I heard padding some milk on your face and then washing it off will help your skin. Also wash your face every 2 hours so it won't be so oily. And to smoothes marks/scars, I use this lotion called 'Cocoa Butter Formula'
its says it 'heals & softens, rough dry skin and tones skin'. with vitamin E ! icon_smile.gif

Try some Neutrogena products...like Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel. You're probably just more genetically prone to getting acne & oily skin or something. But I think fruits and lots of water are all good things for your skin. You are what u eat!

water is essential. I'd say steer clear of chocolate and fried foods but its never been successfully correlated to bad skin condition.

chocolate? how is that bad for the skin? seriously, where are you reading these things? if anything, chocolate is good for your skin.
