I didn't like that boy-cut hair! She is so pretty but that hair....

My favorite Yoon Eun Hye drama is 'Vineyard Man'

Her boy-cut hair was not my cup of tea, either. embarassedlaugh.gif
It's amazing that simple change of the hair style can make a woman look so different.

SNSD had a 3-day concert in Taipei Arena last week.

Taiwanese Sones have done amazing things. This is one of them. A pink refrigerator full of drinks + food! embarassedlaugh.gif

This is the first page of the booklet for Taiwanese food specialties they made for SNSD. biggthumpup.gif

Deux (Lee Hyun Do + Kim Sung Jae) was one of the early Korean hip hop groups that had a big impact in K-pop. Kim Sung Jae died in 1995. The police concluded suicide although his girlfriend was initially considered to be a strong culprit.

[1993][MV] Deux "우리는" (We are)
[1993][MV] Deux "나를 돌아봐" (Turn around and look at me)
[1994][MV] Deux "여름 안에서" (In summer) (This is one of those timeless summer K-pop songs. Remade by Seo Yeon in 2003.)
[1994][MV] Deux "떠나버려" (Just leave me)
[1995][MV] Deux "굴레를 벗어나" (Break off the yoke)
[1995][MV] Deux "상처" (Wound)
[1995][MV] Deux "다투고 난 뒤" (After we argued) (Tacky MV, bad audio quality but this is a good song.)
[1995][MV] Kim Sung Jae "말하자면" (So to speak)
[1996][MV] Deux "사랑, 두려움" (Love, fear) (Kim Sung Jae recorded this song before his death in 1995.)

Introducing a Korean American girl from New Jersey with great vocal prowess and stage presence, Ailee (Lee Ye Jin). She began uploading her singing videos on UCC several years ago and YMC Entertainment picked her up. Her official debut might be close now. She's gonna be a huge diva in Korea if she gets the right songs and management. It's a plus that she speaks perfect Korean and she acts like a native Korean girl despite being a 3rd gen Komerican.

Ailee sings "Halo" (She has a good low note voice as well as her ability to sing high notes effortlessly.)

make up does make a difference. in this pic, she looks like jiyeon from tara.

also, recently, jang nara had a very short haircut. she used to be very popular, and is one of the examples that shows it is not all about looks, personality and character does attract people as well. nonetheless she is quite pretty as well.

yeah, I think that Gong Hyo Jin is another example. she has rather plain looking but because of her characteristic roles she plays (like irritating sister-in-law) and also her excellent acting skills, she has a wide range of fan bases in Korea.

In this old drama (눈사람 snowman), she was an annoying tom boyish teenage sister-in-law living with her married sister and husband.

She also appeared in the music video of 덩그러니 by Lee Sooyoung as a main actress.

Argentina's contestant Flohr (Maria Florencia Acosta) won Latin America KPOP Competition

Buenos Aires, Argentina (NTN24 News Wires) - Latin America's best Korean pop performers battle it out in K-POP, dripping in Korean-inspired fashion and dance moves.

The songs, dance moves and clothes came straight from South Korea but the international K-POP contest took place in South America's Argentina on Sunday (September 11).

Performers from over 10 countries throughout Latin America - including Brazil, Chile, Peru and Mexico - competed in the regional finals of the world Korean pop competition for song and dance.

Solo artist Giberni Gomez is from the Dominican Republic.

Her number was followed up by Brazilian group 'Dancemotions Girls,' the slick moves from the Peruvian boys of 'Check it Out' and the Peruvian troupe 'Revolution.'

Winner of the singing section was 23-year-old Maria Florecia, known by her stage name Flohr.

"I can't believe we are in the finals. Everyone is so talented, it is incredible. I watched them singing and dancing and I just thought, 'I can't believe I'm here with them.' And well we won. I am really happy," Flohr said.

Meanwhile in the dancing category the trophy went to the ever-exuberant Peruvian group Step Up.

Aged between 15 and 28, the girls first came into contact with Korean culture through taekwondo before developing a fast appetite for Korea's television shows, music and - of course - dance moves.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh! I am so happy!. I don't know, we are not going to sleep! We are going to train so that all of Latin America knows our name. We were here to win and I can't believe it, it is a dream come true," said Step Up performer, Johana Marilyn Zeballos.

"There are no words to express how wonderful I feel. It is a sensation so woooooooooo," Step Up performer, Paula Ramirez, said.

"There are a lot of emotions. It is something really special," Step Up performer, Ana Paula Lema, said.

K-POP's winners of this regional competition will now go to the worldwide finals on October 03.

The K Pop cover festival in Gyeongju will bring together the globe's best Korean pop performers from Asia, North America, Europe and Latin America.

That's a real nice picture of her. So, she was an internet singer that got picked up by a label? I see that happening more and more in the future. She has a low voice. That can be a plus or a minus depending on the type of song she sings. An update on her carrier a few months from now would be nice.

Entertainment agencies have more sources to look at for talents than ever. I look forward to her debut. The only concern is that YMC Ent. isn't exactly known as the most competent in the business. embarassedlaugh.gif

(I fixed the video link for "Halo" performance.)

The much-anticipated sitcom High Kick 3: 짧은 다리의 역습 (Counterattack of the short legged?) starts today.

This is probably one of the clearest fancams I've come across so far for Taeyeon + Tiffany performing "Lady Marmalade". This performance has certainly inspired many fan artists. idea.gif

This old song from Seo Taiji is refreshing.

embarassedlaugh.gif That title was sensational. Almost too bald, to me.

Does anyone remember old time actress, Hwang Shin-hye? Maybe, most of the members here are too young to know who she is but Hwang Shin-hye has a 14-year-old daughter now. Recently, both of them appeared in the October issue of “In Style” magazine. Her daughter looks very mature and somewhat reminds me of Hwang Shin-hye when she was younger. Hwang Shin-hye still looks fabulous, in my opinion, considering her age (48).
