Halo, is it really that great as people say it is?

It seems as if halo is extremely extremely popular and people are acting like its the best game ever made.

I never played this game in my life. I never even touched an xbox. I saw clips of it on tv and looked like wierd looking creature people running around and shooting rainbows at each other with odd looking guns.

i dont really know anybody who plays halo, so i made this topic. I mean is this game really thaaaaaat good?

^ no its not overrated at all
Halo is just fu-kin awesome
im myself not into shooting game much but halo is a real exception

the storyline is pretty cool,the sound track is realy awesome,the graphics and the locations r realy unique,online playing is just super:vhicels,weapons,maps...etc

anyway go ahead and try halo1 u can easily download it and i can give a no cd crack for online playing

It's a decent game but it didn't live up to my expectations after all the hype.

Halo is about the multiplayer (matches & campaign). And does it fantastically.

I think I posted this elsewhere on the board, but imo:

Best singleplayer = Bioshock
Best multiplayer = Halo 3
Best mix = Gears of War

halo series was always a short spanned development.. scifi geeks will eat it up and fps lovers will marvel at it but overall to be rated number 1 is giving in fast.. its big through hype and people having their buddies pick up a copy causing a domino effect.. im telling you, once 360 runs out of ideas for a decent fps its the beginning of their death.. microsoft lacks long term development..only wants the quick cash and doesnt care what holds true in the future..

not really...the game isnt good its just the fact that you can go on xbox live and play other people there...and you can play with friends...most people just finish the game once so they can get all the unlockables for their character then they just go online the rest of the time...

i would rather play gears of war than resistence..i hated that game...


halo 3 isnt really that fun...a dumbed down 720p game with 30fps and a boring overly dragged story..you halo fans should be upset that bungie and microsoft lied about the actual specs of the game..but then again if you enjoyed the game thats all it matters
