What are they saying about us !!!! I would like to know.

since I have spare time now, I'll translate these songs for you
- the first song: Sóc Sờ Bay Sóc Trăng

English: our people in Sóc trăng had spend our hard lives with raining and hoarse sun, to earn a bowl of rice that sweet like mother's breast milk nourishing my life. the rivers in my hometown end in 3 branches, sweet fruits with rich Phu Sa. once afternoon pass through Trường Khánh, there is my friend. "uà chể tùa hia ưa tá lư thiền" (these phase is Khmer language, the singer tried to sing in Vietnamese, If you don't know what it means, then I have no idea)
come to Đại Tâm visiting my Khmer friend, listen to a melody of Dù Kê and Lâm thôn dance (Dù Kê is type of Khmer music and Lâm thôn is Khmer dancing style, I think you all know them). Sóc sờ Bay bòn tô na bòn, tô na ơ bòn, tô na ơ bòn ơi (one again this is Khmer phase).
come here to my hometown Sóc Trăng with Bamboo trees surrounding the village, with coconut trees we can hide the sun, even though I go anywhere in 4 big Oceans and 5 Continents, but still it is broken my heart for missing my hometown.

Second song: the Lam Thol dancing

Here is English lyric

LA LA LA LA LA LÀ LÀ LA LA LÁ LA LÀ LÀ.
LA LA LA LA LA LÀ LÀ LA LA LÁ LA LÀ LA.
On the way come back to Tra Vinh, the birds sing happily for the rich yellow rice fields.
the coconut trees around the rivers carried many my memories
Here, there, I can hear Mù Âm and the sound of Xà Dăng drums (Mù Âm is Khmer music and Xà Dăng is Khmer's drum instrument)
And Lam Thol that makes me want to dance

People visit Trà Vinh, for many years still remembering Bà Om lake ( Bà Om lake, also be called square lake, is a very famous lake in Tra Vinh which was made by ancient Khmer people and there is a legend story about it)
come back to my old hometown, listening to beautiful Tiểu Cần melody
Who waiting lover in Nha Tranh of Cầu Ngang village (Nha Tranh is a house making by water coconut leaves)
Once come to this town, I fall in love with it

I open my arms, welcome you here, my beautiful hometown that carried the heart of Trà Vinh
There is Ba Động beach where you will miss it once fall in love
Tourists visit Chùa Cò with many white storks on trees (Chùa Cò is a Khmer Pagoda, it famous for a huge amount of white storks living there)

People come here with the loves for Trà Vinh
the endless rice fields, in two seasons sunny and raining, the rice keep growing
Who comes to Trà Vinh, please leave here some loves
And Lam Thol dance of Trà vinh people will live forever.

I heard about the Bat Pagoda. But I don't remember the story about the bats. Correct me if I'm wrong but they're supposedly "protectors" of the pagoda?

I have no idea about that. from some paper I have read, they say that the pagoda was build about 400 years ago. at beginning, bats come and live. the monks feed them and allow them to stay.
