** According what i had been searched the general "Websites". I saw many cultures of nations were so amazing!!! ** Ecah culture of nation had its own a different technique to performce miracle features and indicate the location of country where did they come from! and what their original language were! Its almost 99% of average nations that were identified about themselves... ** How about the "Viets". I certainly couldn't prove and distinguish where "them" came from! And i had no doubt where was "Their" country!! But what i do believe of my searching the "Website". It's definite explanation that the viets had no original country and no place at all...For long times ago, the VIETS used to temporary & permanent along the rivers as their home-towns. They were so impoverished and their population of survivor by walking around the "Street" to pick up some "Plastic bags" to change the food. I am so sad to hear that ** Furthermore; even the language, culture, religion,...The Viets stole from the Chinese's. They respected and believed the Chinese as "Their Ancestor" and their power was struggle under the China dominion. Viets certain rights and free-dom them had lacked. Equality carried with responsibility for them own behavior. Now, Viets have a secret plan to "defy" and seizure to China, "That mean they decieve China!!!". They won't let the China become a high power in Asia country. They want to use their political strategy to battle china! RockHeart. :genius: |

Well, that has some basis in fact. Many civilizations, including the Egyptions, Mesopotamia, and other civilizations start as small towns near rivers because rivers are an easy source of transportation and food.
Now everything else... -Norm This post has been edited by Cevilgenius: Apr 9 2004, 11:55 AM |

In early history Viets were a nomadic tribe who wandered and then settled in the red river. There they became one of the first people in Far East Asia to practice Agriculture(which is the science of growing crops and stuff.)
The Han instead were experts at hunting and battle skills. Viets and Han used to live together in the Middle Kingdom as well. Anyway read this article about it, that shows how Vietnamese and Chinese have lived in Ancient days. http://www.vwam.com/vets/vietnam.html "At the source of the legend: The Han and the Viet From time immemorial, akingdom reigned in the heart of the Asian continent. Known as the Middle Kingdom or Chung Hoa, its power center was located in the Five Mounts (Ngu Linh) Territory. It was peopled by many races, the two major being those of the Han and the Viet. Unlike the homogeneous Han, the Viets incorporated hundreds of tribes and were known as the Pac Yeuh (One hundred Yeuh) or Each Viet, whose chief ruled the Five Mounts Territory. The Viets settled south of the Yellow River and developed an agricultural culture, whereas the Han in the northwest became expert in hunting and battle skills. The Five Mounts Territory of the Middle Kingdom was ruled by three consecutive chiefs: Toai Nhan - who discovered fire; Phuc Hi - who discovered the I Ching and domesticated wild animals; and Shen Nong - who cultivated wild plants for domestic use and taught his people to grow rice. By the end of Shen Nong's era the Han had invaded the Five Mounts territory and occupied the highest mount, Thai Son. Their chief proclaimed himself Hwangdi, the Yellow Emperor of the Center, in accordance with the Five Elements concept. Hwangdi inherited the heritage of the Tam Hoang, Three Yellows era, which his invasion of The Five Mounts Territory ended. He referred to the Viets settled in the South as the southern barbarians, Nam Man. The Viets fled to the south where their chief proclaimed himself Viem De, the Red Emperor of the South, and named their territory Xich Qui, the territory of the Red Devils. This marked the first Viet exodus from Chung Hoa, the Middle Kingdom. The Viets regarded themselves as descendents of the first three chiefs of China's Three Yellows era. The last of the three, Shen Nong, is the direct Viet link." This post has been edited by Byron: Apr 9 2004, 12:12 PM |

You make it sound as if the Khmer Empire was more powerful than The Vietnam kingdom in the past. If the Khmer Empire was so powerful then why did they lose every war to the Vietnamese kingdom?
Fact is the Vietnamese were one of the first Far East Asians to use agriculture and had a relatively advance bronze age. The first Vietnamese kingdom started 3000 years ago, we weren't wandering around like homeless people like you described Rockheart. The Vietnamese were proably more advance than the Khmer Empire. The Khmer Empire were only famous for their temples. The Vietnamese kingdom had more than just architecture. It had agriculture and good battle skills which is why the Khmer Empire easily lost to the Vietnam kingdom. Temples aren't everything Rockheart. http://www.viettouch.com/hist/ "Since the foundation of the first kingdom of the Viet, some 3,000 years ago, and the first Viet Chuong or Lac Viet kingdom in North Viet Nam 2,400 years ago, the name has been changed several times, depending on historical events." In case others might read this and think what Rockheart posted is true that Vietnamese people didn't have their own country and were really living in other peoples kingdoms as homeless people and one day they lived in the Khmer Empire who generously let them stay until the Vietnamese who were evil decided to take land from them.
I'm just posting these counter facts so that others might know the truth when they read it. This post has been edited by Byron: Apr 9 2004, 01:40 PM |

Is that what RockHeart wrote? May be that dumbass hasn't heard of the Red delta in north Vietnam, his geography is limited at Angkor Wat of his. Damn I feel bad for this guy, he needs to read more books or something before he posts some stupid questions. |
