Hahaha! I hope China just ignores the US and does what it wants. Why even respond to such a question?

The West is just butt hurt that they cannot resort to gunboat diplomacy to force China to grovel at her knees for more unequal treaties to be implemented like 1985 Plaza Accord of Japan which forced the Japanese Yen to appreciate, thus starting the whole debacle known as "Japanese Lost Decade" of stagflation and slow economic growth. If this was the 19th century, the West would have sent a gunboat, forced Western products upon China, just to rectify the trade deficit. In fact, the British force fed addictive opium to Chinese just to fix the silver trade deficit. Now, the modern time equivalent of trade deficit is the whole debate over the Yuan appreciation, which China isn't stupid. Appreciation before industrialization will simply produce a massive consumer market of middle class Chinese that will be dependent on foreigner Western companies for production to satisfy the Chinese consumer society - whereas China won't be self-sufficient to produce $hit for herself. We all know one thing - China isn't going to let foreign companies dominate the Chinese domestic market. Korea didn't, and their Chaebols are world renown (Daewoo, Hyundai, Samsung, Kia, etc....) and Japan didn't, and their Zeirekstsu are world renown (Sony, Nissan, Toyota, Mitshubitshi, etc...).... China isn't dumb. Yeah, these imbeciles think that we are still living in the 19th century. China is already too powerfull for them. They can't use their gunboat, like what they did in the past, that's why they use the divide and conquer tactic. They also use the media to demonize China because they are powerless. |

Hahahahaha... are these dumbass for real??? Are they thinking that China is a US province? China don't need to answer to these a$$holes!!!!! It's not your foucking bissness!!!!! China is not a vassal country like some other countries.... So go fouck yourselves with your stupid question!!!!! Oh i forgot, why the US needs 11 aircraft carriers??????????? Screw these loser obese american douchebags. Who do they think they are? Remember they asked the same thing when India were developing nuclear weapons, they put sanctions on India but we didn't give a crap cuz our economy don't depend on them. They are doing the same thing (sanctions) to Iran, but Iran is breezing through the sanctions cuz every other country is trading with them! Screw these obese capitalist, imperialist, fascist world-warmongers/terrorists u.s. is being silly, acting like a spoiled child who hasn't realize that the world is not centered around him anymore The sooner it reaches their thick skull, the better China needs at least 10 aircraft carriers. first china needs to set up military bases in the carribean and canada and let its aircraft carrier have its maiden voyage up the chesapeake bay. oh and build ten more of those carriers. That should be China's answer This post has been edited by Southasianguy: Aug 11 2011, 07:01 PM |

Seriously, U.S. sends aircraft carriers in between Taiwan straits, and right in front of Beijing's doorsteps (Yellow Sea), and yet, the United States has the gall to ask such stupid condescending obvious questions.
No great love for China, but who the fu-k does the Americans think they are? |

Look at you, defending Americans, when clearly the entire Chinese community disagrees with America's typical arrogance.
Why are you defending typical white arrogance? Clearly you are not the Chinese, but either anti-Chinese white bastard barbarian, or a Japanese. This post has been edited by VJDay: Aug 12 2011, 01:04 AM |

That is not hypocritical at all. The US is simply asking what are the intentions China has with such equipment, seeing as one of the obvious possible reasons for having such equipment is to challenge US forces. They are not saying China can't have the equipment, what they want to know is what china plans on doing with it, that way the US can help avoid any type of misunderstandings, such misunderstandings have a tendency throughout history of causing skirmishes and or wars. Exactly. However, If China does intend on intimidating their neighbors and start enforcing territorial claims, you better believe that the US is not going to just stay on the sidelines when other countries might need assistance. I believe the US has made this very clear. Again it's all about understandings. |

Also don't forget that they have to go through North Korea first |

If they did, the Dragon and the Russian Bear will make kebab out of the little chicken that is america! Also don't forget that they have to go through North Korea first Russia wouldn't dare attack or participate in any attack towards the United States. Many of Russia's oil profits depend on NATO, and Russia-United States relations have been reset to peaceful levels already. Despite being nearly 2 million men strong, China is nearly a decade behind the United States in terms of hardware. 1 aircraft carrier won't make a difference; the combat capabilities of the People's Liberation Air Force is outnumbered and outgunned by superior American aircraft. North Korea's navy is green-water at most and the ground forces still operate Cold War Era T-55s and T-70s. North Korean personnel don't even wear body armor. South Korea could wipe out North Korea by itself if it wanted to. |
