In Japan, the most famous animator is Miyazaki (Princess Mononoke).
The most famous manga-ka is Rumiko (Ranma 1/2). |

I think it should be Fujiko, the writer of the Doraemon series.
In Thailand Doraemon is much more known than DBZ. |

I thought atleast someone would mention Kishimoto Masashi, since Naruto is bigger than anything else right now.

I think the question should be, 'which is the most famous Manga or Anime',
'cos most of my friends or the most people don't know the Names of artists... ,dont you thinks so too ? So i would say Akira Toriyama from DBZ, Rumiko from Ranma Kishimoto Masashi,Naruto and Eiichiro Oda, One Piece. |

QUOTE (Jun @ Oct 25 2004, 10:58 PM) haha good one. but yah, I'd say miyazaki is best known probably. he(i think it's a he) and studio ghibli have put out some amazing stuff. then there's probably the guy who made the original astro boy...i think his nick name is godfather of anime. |
