Laos had 40+ years of nothing. Which is why we are poor is because of those Pro-Vietnam and Vietnam themselves keeping Laos poor as a strategies defense and to send more illegal Viet into our country that only benefit Vietnam, not the Lao people our the entire country.


The only reason Vietnam is helping and showing alot of effort is because China strong relationship with Laos. In the past 5 years, you wouldn't hear news or see anything development from Vietnam who is coming from Vietnam. Also, during that time frame most Laos resource and timber has been already illegally taken to Vietnam for thier own development and greed.

I think the Laotian Government should think twice about those 40 years of nothing in Laos, which only push our Lao people back 40 years behind everyone in Asia or SEA and Vietnam next's door. Also, Vietnam affraid we might succeed them in the region in socialization strengh of power and rising economy competition. As we can see now, Vietnam is threatening Laos from investment to development project for the future for the Lao people. But the Lao people been waiting patiently, but nothing is being done to help its poor neighbors. But for we Lao people, we aren't complaining or threatening anyone, it is them Vietnam who is jealous to see us overwelm them in all future aspect.

The fuk?? Laos and VN GDP is vastly the same 1000 USD. How do you expect us to help when millions are poor?? VN has to develop its own after the war, did we need China or other countries help? Why can't Laos rely on themself but need other to help? Why is Lao relying on foreign aid? Do you think Laos can be what is it now without Vietnam help? probably much much poorer than now!!and w/o VN do you think China would be easier to conquer Lao? Vietnam population is bigger then Laos and it will always be. And plus during the Vietnam war, it was Vietnam who accomplish it self to seperate Lao ethnic into killing each other by influencing the Lao Government and genocide against loyalist Lao. Which they relied on Vietnam during that time. If Vietnam wasn't in Laos today. Laos wouldv'e been development like Singapore, and all ethnic would been united by one people socially. Also if Vietnam didn't step foot in Laos, China would of been the biggest influence in the region and Laos wouldn't be the way it is today and their wouldn't too much foreign aid aswell. You know Vietnam is using Laos to defend its self by China? And you know who suffer the most when they are being used as a pawn? Its the Lao people and our country.

I've even bet 95% of Vietnamese don't even know anything about Laos. That's how bad the new generation of Vietnamese are, while the Lao know enough about Vietnam. You see what I mean VietnamNo1?

I'm not hating or anything, I'm just saying its time for Laos to step out of the box without Vietnam being nosey in our bussiness. Also, Vietnam should support our decision since Laos has always been supporting Vietnam on every cause. Now we can see how Vietnam really is from the true intention btw Laos and Vietnam relationship.

I'm not trolling just having a conversation and debate. Its is you who think like that because you can't face the actual truth. At least you should listen and think about it instead of ignoring it. Sooner or later you will thank me for giving you some input on my view. Also, some of you like Xigon need to stop trying to ban me just because I know what I'm talking about and I'm thinking outside the box. And 85% of the time in my conversation and debate actually come true.

China is richer than Vietnam so they use more money on Laos , Vietnam has been helping Laos for years w/o returning. Should we use all our money to help Laos and left millions poor at home? and now Laos people are oblivious about it and follow the one who give them more money

Vietnamese businessman donates US$2 million to Laos

(VOV) - President of the Confederation of Overseas Vietnamese Associations in Laos Hoang Dieu handed over US$50,000 to the Lao national war veterans association in Vientiane on March 10.
The money is the gift of CEF of the Long Thanh Golf Trading and Investment Joint Stock Company Le Van Kiem, who once fought in the Lao battle field, bringing his total donation to Laos to US$2 million.

The money will be used to add budget to the construction of the Vietnam-Laos fallen combatants cemetery in Ban Kang, Vientiane province, where 24 Vietnamese and Lao soldiers were buried.

To date, Le Van Kiem contributed US$200,000 to the building of the cemetery.

The same day, President Hoang Dieu, on behalf of Vietnamese Labour Hero Le Van Kiem, handed over US$108,000 to the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party in order to serve the ninth National Party Congress.

Vietnam doesn't receive foreign aid anymore. Just the ODA from Japan and it has to be paid back so it's just like borrowing.

Actually, most Laotians don't know much about Vietnam because Laotians rarely visit Vietnam and have no clue what Vietnamese culture is like.

I'm referring to the 95% of Lao in Laos population including the old to middle age generation since the Vietnam War end. Now we starting to see that decline since China is starting to pop up all over Laos,especially Northern Laos today.

What about those illegal timber and resource taken out of Laos with no tax or nothing in returned? You see, Vietnam is the one trying to victimized the Lao people and our country first. Laos never cheated or lie to its closest allies, but we starting to see many Vietnamese bussiness trying to cheat on our people. After they have enough income, they just leave Laos without saying goodbye or nothing in returned to the local or people. That's how Vietnam do bussiness in Laos because my aunt aren't fond of Vietnamese company or bussiness with Laos. Vietnam only wants and wants, but cannot give or donate. I can say most Vietnamese bussiness are like this in Laos. Sad isn't it?

How can it be 95% when only roughly 60% are ethnic Laotians?...the rest are mainly ethnic minorities who live up in the mountains. You're just making up numbers. You don't know what you're talking about. You're not even Laotian.
