Ever being in situation where you just have so much bad luck, no matter how qualify or experience you are for that position, you just can seem to get it?
My examples include: 1) I went to interviews with many recruitment agencies; some manage to get me interviews with the company, and others did not want to or could not see me, because they either found someone before hand already, or are on leave and can't see me right away. 2) Last week I went to an interview with a company, and it seems like they are more interested in getting the interview over and done with, because they got other $hits going on, than talking and qualifying me about my experience qualification. 3) Last night I spend hours and hours preparing for the interview, but it was only a short interview to get to know me this morning. And because it is a short interview, I really need to answer every question as accurately as possible, but when coming out of the interview, I realize I totally screw up one very important question. My conclusion is fu-k ME DEAD, why so much bad luck!!! Well I have another interview line up on Wednesday for another company, so I'll see how that goes... I've always found it easier to stay away from agencies and deal directly with the bloke you're going to be working for. Agencies don't pay YOU for your time, which is why they can afford to waste it so flippantly. |

I would try to apply directly if companies actually advertise.

QUOTE(Rocky Cuong V @ Sep 22 2008, 03:35 AM) I would try to apply directly if companies actually advertise. Saturdays are the days in WA to grab The West Australian and the telephone, and get in early if you can, like between 08:00 and 09:00, and you'll be starting on Monday if you play your cards right. Another one that my cuz in Sydney raves on about is that www.seek.com but I find the website frustratingly slow and cookie-infested. Still, it's a possibility through the week, but 99% of the ads on Seek are posted by bloody agency timewasters too. The newspaper is more efficient and reliable. Wednesdays are the midweek highlight days over hewre in the West, and I find Thursdays to be lighter on the job opportunities, but you'll find some of the more niche-like roles in Thursday's paper, so I've found - especially subcontract work if you have an ABN. |

Bad luck is bad luck, but sometimes its in your head. Have to watch out for that because if you think you have nothing but back luck, it's easier for you to f-up during the interview then cover it up by use "bad luck" as an excuse, rather than solving the real problem. If you mess up, wait, a few seconds and think before you give an answer. If you know they don't give a crap about you then there is a good chance that's how they feel towards everyone else, and don't try to prolong the interview if the person wants to cut it short, it will only piss them off.

Well, I just finish another interview today. It went really well and I got really good feedback from relevant party. The only thing left is for those people to talk to the Managing director about me, and with any luck I will get an offer tomorrow, otherwise I might need to go to another interview with the MD.
Hopefully no more badluck. |

It's really just because you're a special person, and the interviews are jealous of u.

How many interviews have you gone through? If you've gone through about 5 or 6 you should be able to get the hang of it. I find the toughest questions to be the ones where they deal with stress situations. And always have a question for them. |

Some times there are Situations occured or we can say bad Luck happen with us,I remeberd day one day I go For Interview and sitted their from Morning 11am to evening 8pm and when my turns come, they said now the Interview is closed for that Particular Position,
Can you People Shared with me That, what According to you is the Hardest Question or Bad Question which you Ever Faced During Interview... The Question Which I don't Like During Interview are:=> a)Why did you leave your last job. I really hate that one because you can seem hard to get along with or something and the b)another Question which I Usually don't Like is When Interviewer used to ask where did you see yourself after Five years" can anybody of you help me how to answer this type of Questions? |

The 2nd question is hella easy, just say in 5 years I am confident you will be reporting to me. If not you can always trip on the stairs on your way out and sue them for a lot of money. |

I just graduated this past june and like everyone, I am currently looking for a job. Just had one interview. The employer called me back saying how they are impress and would like to move to the next step for background check and other paper work. Still waiting for a second interview with the district manager. From my past experience, it all have to do with your personality and how you convey yourself to the person interviewing you. You first have to know everything about the company that you are applying for, the position of which you are applying for, and come up with possible answer that you expect them to ask. For example "what make you the perfect candidate for the job" or "please tell me an example in your life where you experience hardship and tell me how you deal with it." I always answer it with confident. Make good eye contact, smile, and don't bull$hit too much. These people are train to see through your bull$hit so be honest. If you don't really know, admit that you don't.
