I use Win XP SP3, and about 2-3 days ago I installed 2 games, after installing the 1st one nothing happened, when I installed the other one nothing happened too. This last one, named Left4Dead, well i was playing normally until i went to video options and changed to window mode and changed texture graphics to high. What happened is that after doing this, I got some screen freezeing thing, can't do nothing, usually freezes when i start a game, and sometimes huge breaks. When it freezes I have to push reset button, I can't play any game now. Sometimes when freezes, after a time, will appear the Fatal Error, that blue screen full of text and computer reboots, this Fatal Error I know it's about HDD. Anyway, the freezeing screen thing, I don't know how to stop it, I restored twice my computer, but didn't fix it, and now the only thing will solve this problem is to format my disk and reinstall everything. I hope any kind soul can help me, I'm so angry with this.

your video card can't handle the high texture graphics. you have to lower the resolution.

there should be an option in game where you can change this.. go to video option during game and set to low to medium mode and see what happens.

also make sure, you set the refresh rate to at least 65, or go to max 75 if you have this option. this allows the screen to displays graphic motion faster.

So you're saying on low/medium you can play it just fine?
