I don't get it when people talk about this. I know its common for people within the same social/economic class to marry. By combining their respective incomes, they can live quite a comfortable life.
But it's not like if you see a successful guy, things will work out. There has to be chemistry as well. There are many factors. What if a person is ideal for you in an economic sense but his personality doesn't suit yours? What if a person is really poor but his personality suits yours? What if a person is good looking and attractive but he is poor and lazy? There are so many factors. No wonder so many people are single these days. This is why in developed countries, the birth rate is so low. And even if two successful, like-minded people get on. What happens if one of them gets a better job offer somewhere else? Will they split apart or will the other person sacrifice his/her own career for the other? Life is easier being alone. This post has been edited by TwistedLogic: Oct 13 2007, 02:20 PM |

If they're poor and their personality suits yours then you have to consider how important the financial aspect is to you. Social class isn't purely defined by wealth anyway. Being goodlooking/attractive have nothing to do with social class however taking care in one's appearance does somewhat. |
