These ethnic seem to resemble us Tai ethnic. And those sewing patterns are familiar to that of the Lao old style patterns.

"These"? They are just one ethnic. That's ethnic Muong. They are closer to Viet than they are to Tai. Anything on their clothes are traditional Muong patterns. If you think they resemble Lao patterns then you may as well think Hmong patterns resemble Lao patterns.

That's because Viet (Kinh) culture has been Sinicized. Our culture is now closer to the Chinese.
