They should beat the sorry 49ers this week, but knowing the skins it'll be a close game. They also need to put Lavar on the field, so my son can continue to wear his jersey next year. I'm still ticked that I can no longer wear my Champ Bailey jersey in public anymore.

Portis for Bailey was a crazy trade. Bailey was the best at his position and Portis was a good back at best. In a draft that was littered with quality backs, I would never have made that trade.

The Redskins should use Arrington and shouldn't have let Smoot and Pierce get away. The defence is nowhere near as good as it was last year, they could've been a playoff team.

On a positive note, as I have thought for a long time, but isn't Santana Moss a player? victory.gif

I agree with you 100%. It just irks me that Marty wanted to draft Rod Gardner instead of Santana, and everyone knew that Snyder coveted Santana's playmaking ability. They probably would have been able to keep either Smoot or Pierce if they drafted Santana in the first place.

Maybe would've been able to keep Coles happy if they had him and Santana to throw downfield to. love2.gif I remember when the Jets had the two of them. They lit up the place.

i'm a vike fan, and i'll be the first to admit. culpepper aint $hit without moss. there are qbs that make their receivers and there are qbs that are made by their receivers. and moss made culpepper. i dont want to hear all that, the line isnt there, new offensive coordinator(although his playcalling does suck). without moss, culpepper doesnt have that sense of comfort. he provided pep with a safety valve. when moss was still here, everyone was making plays, cause all the defense's attention was on moss.

All quarterbacks in the NFL are like that now. Take away Owens from McNabb and McNabb is mediocre, nobody has seen Manning without Harrison and Wayne and how would Palmer fare without Johnson?

This is seriously why I think Brett Favre is the best QB of all time, you can give him nobody receivers and he'll still light it up for 30 touchdowns and complete 65% of his throws on a season. Nobody else like him. If I had to pick somebody who was close, it would be Brady.

Culpepper isn't terrible overnight. He had a good game against the Pack. neartears.gif

even though i hate the packers and i hate favre, i have to agree with you there. favre can light up the place with any receiver. i've always wondered how good favre would be if he had a guy like Moss. i'd say 51 tds.

The idea of Favre and Moss together...yeah I think around 50 plus TD's too. Just imagine the yardage they'd get!

...I understand that you're obligated to hate the Pack. icon_wink.gif Just like I'm obligated not to care about a little team like Minnesota and worry about the BIG rivals Chicago. embarassedlaugh.gif

Get real, he's been good throughout his years. You must not have noticed.

JOHN ELWAY is the greatest of all time. He never had a big name reciever. He took 3 average teams to the SuperBowl. Even though they lost, he was basically the team. And he has the most wins all time. And the most "COMEBACKS" of all time. "COMEBACKS" is something that Farve CANNOT do." It was a dream come true to finally see him win some SuperBowls. And yes he beat Brett Farve's heavily favored packers in SB32! Probably the greatest SB ever! The Rams/Pats SB and Pats/Panthers SB's are also in the discussion.
I hate Montana fans. 4whiners had the coach and a damn good team(Rice, etc.) overall to help him win those SB's, but they always says he's the best. fu-k them b!tches.

^ McNabb? Don't make me laugh. He's only broken out since he had Owens. The only reason his stats were remotely respectable was that the defence was carrying the team.

Elway is a great QB and I seriously respect what he did with the football (Without bigname receivers too). I wouldn't call his teams average, maybe the first one but the back-to-back team had a good defence. The reason I wouldn't call him the best ever is that he did have some bad seasons but I would say when he was playing at the top of his game, there weren't many better.

I can't believe you don't think Favre can do comebacks! He's famous for the fourth quarter comebacks! There must've been three or four times last season with little time on the clock that Brett marched the Packers up the field to win the game.

That SB loss to Denver broke my heart. Not so much the losing but the fact that Brett didn't do much wrong in that game. Green Bay played well but just couldn't keep up with Elway who seemed inspired on that day. I personally think the Pats/Panthers SB was the best though.

I'm not a huge Montana fan but I have to acknowledge that the guy could play. Definitely a top 5 QB.

Even if Farve did do that lastseason, I've never seen the consistency in that from him throughout his career. He's tried but ended up throwing INT's,etc. and failed for most that I've noticed.

Yeah Brady is the most Clutch QB today.

^ Agreed with you about Brady. I would say he is the best in the NFL today period. A good chance to be considered best ever if I racks up a couple more superbowls.

In 234 games, Elway had 47 4th quarter comebacks and in 211 games, Favre had 34. That is still a pretty good amount! At that rate, Favre will have about 41 total comebacks by the time he reaches that amount of games. Not a huge difference.

Like I said all over again and again,

Moss
<
Cap space, new D starters(since changing to the 3-4 form, we're doing alot better), and future star receiver in Troy Williamson. With Moss they couldnt even make it that far during his times with the Vikes. We traded him to make our future better, that's having a large cap space room for next season. Don't be suprise if we grab Edge or Alexander next off-season or some top backers(that's if we dont draft Brooks, Carpenter or Hawks cause Napoleon Harris sucks)

True Viking fan here, still have hope in C-pep and the gang to change it around.

Viqueens made the dumbest trade in the offseason. What a joke. They got a bum LB in harris for Moss. Deal of the century for the Raiders! haha

Well I never got the optimism from Vikings fans this season. Yes, your defence looked improved but you put in four or five new starters so obviously it was going to take some time to get together and you lose the league's best WR (who pretty much made life easy for mediocre Vikings halfbacks).

Minnesota to challenge next season need Troy to step up (He and Nate would be a good 1-2) and definitely get a bigtime rusher.

I am so glad you took Sharper from us. As any Packer will tell you, the guy is finished.

The Packers wasting another first-round pick on offence? We need a SS or OLB. Our CB situation is ok even though we should never have drafted Carroll since we could've moved up and got Gamble.

Having said that, we're losing Ahman after this season so we probably need a HB but I don't think we should put a 1st round pick into it since we're up against the cap. If Brett plays another season, a quality back might not be needed so urgently.
