I dare they test the australoid ancestry amongst the poorest in Luzon I didn't say all of luzon has high negrito percentage....just around greater manila and southern luzon area Of course the percentage would rise because the poorest in Luzon are the more Australoid Visayans! Well Greater Manila would be classified as "West Luzon" so you can see the results on the chart. It has the smallest percentage of Negrito ancestry of all the Filipino groups on the chart (about 1/32nd). But then there's a slightly larger Melanesian component. We never even talk about that factor, but it's present in all the listed Filipino populations to some degree. And it makes sense because the Philippines is as close to Papua as it is to China. Random Melanesians probably ended up in the Philippines and absorbed into the general population. People in the eastern coast of the Philippines resemble Melanesians a lot. hmmm but on average slum peoples from Manila look closer to east timor then they do to other regions of philippines Whaaat? Are you dreaming AGAIN? no East Timor has 1/3rd to 1/2 melanesian component poor people in manila look at the least 1/3rd and at the most 3/4 middle class are prob the 1/32 ur talking about Most East Timorese are 100% Papuan. Only Tetun people and a few more peoples are Austronesian. The distance does not matter...mindanao population is not from east timor...most of them are migrants from visayas If you look at the chart it states the whole of luzon....I am talking about the poor areas of greater manila And yes the poor people of Manila do look more like east timorese..because they have higher australoid admixture then the 1/16th that mindanao has on average the whole of luzon may have 1/32th...but within the poor in manila itself the percentage would be more like 1/3rd or 3/4th LOL. Again, the poor people of Greater Manila are VISAYANS, so naturally they'd look more Negrito. umm australoids were not a seafaring people...negritos or melanesians had no seaworthy craft its austronesians who settled in australoid populated areas....not the other way around mindnao has some negrito or melanesian mixed ethnic minorities (manobo, etc)..but visayan and luzon migrants make up the majority of the population LOL your kidding me right...many of the mt pinatubo aetas settled in manila plenty of the ultra poor in manila look like australoid hybrids lol there r 3/4th negrito or melanesians who just identify as tagalogs... Lapita culture produced seafaring vessels. It is said that without the Melanesians and Austronesians blending, there would not settlements in the Pacific island chains. Another lie! Aetas tend to stay where they were born. SOME went to Manila - and they WERE VERY MUCH DIFFERENT from the rest of the poor population (except for the poorest poor - who have strong Papuan/Australoid features). I saw them before. They live in tents along the North Expressway in Northern Manila - but ALL OF THEM went home to Pampanga because they couldn't take the hustle and bustle of city life. Today, the only slums in Manila are in Tondo and Payatas - both home to thousands of Visayan workers. There are 1/2 Tagalog and 1/2 Negritos in the interior of Rizal province - they are a SEPARATE ethnic group called REMONTADOS. The Dumagats of Rizal And Aurora are themselves of mixed Austronesian + Papuan + Negrito lineage. |

dude I have been talking about the poor in manila...not the general population of luzon lol you do know that many of the poor in mindanao r maranao...not only the australoids some maranao look like this...eh you srsly think they look more austra then manila/s poor?? ![]() ![]() The Maranao look like that - oh yeah, I've seen a lot of Maranaos like that. It's because of their royal ancestry - Sulu royalty had Chinese in thenm. you r talking about the general population of Luzon I am talking about the poor in Manila BIG difference...considering general population of luzon is nowhere near australoid looking as poor of manila What makes you separate Manila from the general population of Luzon?!?!?! If there's ANY DIFFERENCE between the two, it's because of the HEAVY VISAYAN PRESENCE in Manila!!! |

Not again... I said that probably 1/4 of the ancestry of your average Filipino is AUSTRALOID - NOT NECESSARILY NEGRITO. More of Proto-Ainuid and Papuan mix. Most Australoid-looking people in the slums for one do NOT resemble Negritos - but Papuans! The better question would be: Do you expect a SPECIES WHO DEPENDED ON FORAGING AND HUNTING to number 6,000,000,000 in the PRESENT AGE? Yep - Negrito AND Papuan are the words of the day! Hehe. Somebody's gonna be angry here.... PS. Visayas is also closer to Papua than Luzon is to Papua! Pampanga had a thriving Chinese community even before the Spaniards conquered the Philippines. And not only that... Luzon is also closer to China. The name Luzon is allegedly derived from a Chinese word liu-sung. On the other hand, Mindanao was always known as MAGINDANAO - a very Malay sounding word. It was also known as the Great Moluccas (classified as the northernmost part of the Moluccas island chain) - and we all know that most Moluccans are mixed Papuan/Austronesian. ahh but most humans had developed farming...negritos have not developed and still on hunter-forager mode ahhh ocrap...another one of your chinese are the true indigenous people of luzon rants |

It was also known as the Great Moluccas (classified as the northernmost part of the Moluccas island chain) - and we all know that most Moluccans are mixed Papuan/Austronesian. Well I'll be damned. I didnt believe you, but then I looked it up. Mindanao was called "Gran Moluccas" so it was basically party of the Moluccan Islands. So it only makes sense that Mindanao would have the highest Melanesian ancestry in the Philippines. It was probably much more Melanesian back then, before all the Christian immigrants from the Northern Philippines came, the Ilocanos, Tagalogs, etc. And I guess even Visayans added a lot of Austronesian blood to the mix. What do you have to say about that ejay? |

Ok, so the immigrants from the Northern Philippines (who you believe are more Australoid) immigrated to Mindanao and made it more Austronesian? the immigrants from northern philippines were farmer non-autraloids from outside manila of course by northern philippines means areas north of mindanao...including visayas and luzon the govt encouraged those with certain skills like farming...etc to migrate This post has been edited by DPSlock: Aug 10 2011, 10:36 AM |

A 1970's study reveals the Negrito distribution in the Philippines and it occupies the majority of the east Luzon.
![]() http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P...g00200-0092.pdf This explains that when I go to the mountain ranges of Rodriquez and Montalban I see many Australoid looking Filipinos and even the place were I live in Antilipolo Rizal there are also many Australoid looking Filipinos.

ahh but most humans had developed farming...negritos have not developed and still on hunter-forager mode ahhh ocrap...another one of your chinese are the true indigenous people of luzon rants Still. They survived. Who's to say that Negritos didn't form a large population then? No one really knows. The only thing we now know is that the Austronesian invaders literally wiped out the Australoids by: 1) killing them AND 2) mating with them, forming the brown-skinned "kayumanggi" peoples of the Philippines. And besides, I NEVER said that Chinese are the true indigenous people of Luzon. I just said that given the long history of Chinese settlement in the Philippines (since 100 AD), they are technically "natives" already. the working class of Manila is Visayan...the true non-working poor of manila are local tagalogs.... lol the poorest of the poor in manila are the tagalogs.... lol here comes ocrap with his true tagalogs are the chinese people you see in forbes park rant yes ocrap there are visayans working in manila...but to claim all of the poor in manila is visayan is the kind of bs i expect from you lol quite interesting that the supposed visayans in poor side of manila can only speak tagalog with a tagalog accent LOL so the original people of greater manila went back to another province where they have no origins in??? or r the original people of manila the chinese who make up the upper class of manila...LMAO No. The working class of Manila is Visayan, still, the slum area is populated also by Visayans. Poorest poor Tagalogs would not stay in Manila but go home to their own home province, which is just nearby Manila. NO INDIGENOUS MANILAN inhabitant got poor: 1) Many got benefits from Manila being the capital and became the rich Pinoys; 2) Many also got rich and intermarried with Spaniards, Chinese, and Americans (or vice versa); and 3) Those who didn't got rich were eventually forced by societal forces or government to relocate to the nearby provinces. The slum areas are populated by already third to fifth generation Visayans and of course they don't speak it with a Visayan accent anymore. LOL they aren't even royalty...damn why do you fail so hard ocrap anyone else find ocrap's sino-centric rant of ancient philippines were ruled by chinese kind of suspicious I mean most of these claims come from chinese-filipino historians LOL Ask any Maranao here, and they claim they HAVE royal blood and that they are related to this and that Sultan. LOL. NOT RULED by China. Rather, it's more of a tributary status with China. There's a big difference in that. |

You can't be more correct than a study, right? the immigrants from northern philippines were farmer non-autraloids from outside manila of course by northern philippines means areas north of mindanao...including visayas and luzon the govt encouraged those with certain skills like farming...etc to migrate Hahaha. And why single out Manila? If Manila is Australoid, then all the more everyone out there. Because Manila has been awash with foreign blood, at least relative to other Philippine regions. Besides, Tagalogs are purportedly an offshoot of Northern Visayans. If Tagalogs are Australoid, then ALL THE MORE all Visayans are Australoid, because the Tagalogs came from Visayans! Hahaha. And since Visayans originally came from the North - they would have to pass through Manila inevitably. Then that simply means that those who pass there, Bisayans included, are all Austaloidized. Got the logic? LOL what home...if they r the poores of the poor they would have no home,,,other then the slums of Manila LOL ocrap how would u know if they were visayan if they were 5th generation...you know your maids r visayan cuz they speak in a visayan accent hence since your maids r visayan u think the poor @$$ tagalogs r visayan because ur maids r LOL so according to ocrap....all the people in slums r visayan when they don't even speak visayan or come from visayans...he is just assuming this because his maids r visayan...but given the fact those maids have a job with steady income i doubt they r the same people u see picking trash to eat in slums of manila so just because blue collar workers in manila r visayan he automatically assumes the poor tagalogs r visayan...because he can't seem to differentiate blue collar workers from jobless bums and he goes a step further by hinting that the rich chinese u see in manila gated neighborhoods r the tagalogs of manila...yes the tagalogs of manila r really the chinese...and the visayans r the papuans in manila...even though luzon people make up 50% of the population...and most visayan temp live in manila..not permanently...all the slums r visayans...because ocrap says so |

you yourself have said negritos arent numerous in number due to the fact that they live a nomadic lifestyle. how the hell would the mt. pinatubo negritos be able to effect metro manila so much by themselves. i bet my mom's family in pampanga has more so-called Ami blood than you, since you are from down south
