your shoes when you enter a house?

Back then when I was a child, my parents drilled into me the "no shoes in the house" mentality. Nowadays, neither my parents or my relatives care much about this. For some reason, however, I still find myself subconsciously taking my shoes off every time I enter someone's house. Even though the floors might be ridiculously dirty, I still find myself doing this.

Parents enforced the no-shoes rule too.

Me in my own house? Don't care.

But then again I don't have any carpet. Every room has laminate, which is easy to keep clean.

If I had carpet, then yeah, TAKE YO SHOES OFF, BTICH!

I do!!! Wearing shoes in the house is dirty! Especially if you have carpet >.<

BUT when I'm at a non-Asian friend's house and they don't enforce that rule, I'll just keep my shoes on. lol

I take them off. Even my non asian friends take off their shoes when they are at their house. It is more comfortable anyways right?

I prefer to take them off because im more comfortable barefoot or in thongs (flip flops or whatever you call them)
