Hi everyone! I found this forum while doing an information search. I then became interested in some of the discussions in the debate/philoshphy section.
So, I decided to join. My interest is in learning, through discussion, more about different national and cultural perspectives on a range of topics which relate to what we all have in common - the human condition. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all more and exchanging ideas. |

Hey, cateAU! I love philosophy too, but only when I'm using Psychedelics. most of the time I find the effort of writing 60,000 words to explain Solipsism retarded.
And I think Ralf is fu-king cute. |

Which part of Sydney are you from ? I live in Darlinghurst. right at the Kings cross intersection. Do you know Sydney? I'm originally from Melbourne, South melbourne, but I've been in Sydney for a few years. Hey, cateAU! Anyone who needs 60,000 words to explain solipsism just doesn't get it, and shouldn't try. Ralf looks very cute. |

I just got back from one of my regular work trips to Sydney.
I usually work in the industrial estates around Glendenning and Smithfield. My gf's cousin has an Indonesian restaurant at the southern end of Anzac Parade. |

I love Indonesian food, but it's so hard to find decent restaurants - most Asian food places around here are tailored to western tastes. Melbourne generally has much better restaurants than Sydney. I miss that.

I miss that. Try that restaurant called Bali Stick.A bit more up-market than the average Sydney Asian fast food joint, and they have live music on Saturday nights. It is near NIDA, on Anzac Parade. Their website is here. |

YUMMMM! Thanks Ralf! I'll definitely try it. My partner works in Randwick, so the location is handy. You know Sydney, so any suggestions for good Malaysian food in the area? Apart from the Malaya?
Metalhead, haha, yes, but it's all very touristy these days. It's also the safest part of Sydney - there are people around the main street all day and all night. I think the celebs that hang out draw the crowds into the area. |
