Yes. My grandmother (blepharoplasty), my mom (blepharoplasty), my sister (rhinoplasty), my friend in Seoul (blepharoplasty), another friend in Seoul (chin implant), my mom's friend's daughter in Seoul (blepharoplasty). Plus go over to Url Ban.. there's some pinned thread in the beauty/fashion forum where some girl goes into detail about her blepharoplasty. She's Korean, and the post contains some anglicized Korean words.

quizi: are you a guy or a girl? I can't imagine most girls who receive plastic surgery disclosing their experience to any guys. The ones I know only tell their relatives and close friends about it. Like my sister... she told me one of her ex boyfriends asked her if she'd had her nose done because it's so impossibly straight, and she denied it. She tells me that it's "her" nose now, she doesn't think of it as plastic.

Oh yeah, and I know this one Korean girl who had her calf muscles removed because she is obsessed with having thin calves. She blew all the money from her summer internship on it but the muscle grew back anyway. What a waste of money and time.

are you guys serious?

guizi, to tell you, honestly. I have never met anyone who went through "plastic surgery". But I know people who had to get "surgery" because of an accident or had to get braces.

I don't think I know of anyone, Korean or not who's had plastic surgery. Some have refused even though their mothers/aunties have pressured them to do it. icon_wink.gif

I think my aunt, (not blood related) on my dad's side got plastic surgery because my cousin had small eyes and does not look like the aunt or the uncle.

I'm sure I do... embarassedlaugh.gif but the Koreans I know well I know didnt have any...

Koreans have really good milky skin and bone structure... the only keeping some Korean girls n guys back are the thick epicanthic folds (no lid eyes) but many Koreans have natural double lids... that newspaper/magazine said 25%

I just think Asian eyes can be very attractive, deep, and sophisticated... my fold is semi and I'm happy with it... never been not happy with it... i love the way it looks when i squint in the sun... makes me look like a nomad...

my fiance is Korean, and lived in korea till just recently and according to her: 3 out of her 6 best friends had had plastic surgery....mostly eyes and nose. one cousin had her eyes and nose done and another one is considering having her nose done. she also says that out of the people at her college a majority of them had had some type of cosmetic eye surgery.

I know that this might sound funny but I do not know koreans who had surgeory, or I do not know they had. As far as I know, I don't get well around pretty woman because 95% of the time they are boredom.

Anyway, there is a saying in Europe "Beauty is skindeep, but uglyness goes to the bone".

Woman or Man who do surgeory to get prettier are nothing more than icon-followers and have no respect for themselves. We are what we are, and the ones that accept that, live happier.....

Anyway, everybody is beautifull, because Natural selection does take care of the less appealing. Where the beauty is, is something that we have to find out.
