why J-girls tends to bash J-boys? Options

Well.. I was told that Japanese boys are rude, Immature and feminine and this was said by one of my Japanese female friend. At first, I thought it was just her opinion but then every single Japanese girls I've met so far say the similar thing. I've had quite a lot of J- male friends and they all turns out to be cool bunches. They aren't femine like the ones that appears on the Japanese tv-show, and they are DEFINETELY not rude. I can't imagine that they act really politely in front of others and turns around to girls to act as if they the king of the world. So, I think the girls were lying.

So, the question is, why do they disrespect J-boys? Can anybody guess why?

In today's media controlled world, impressions are stereotypes are founded by whoever gets more publicity.

It's not that Japanese or Asian men are feminine, it's that Japanese and Asian male pop stars tend to look feminine in the eyes of Westerners and whitewashed Asian girls.

I think it is an excuss for some whitewashed j-girls to justify why they perfer white guys....these j-girls tend to be the twinkies. They annoy me. Mainly because they've lost their identity and go further as to bash on their own people....isn't it sad? I think so. Trying to grasp some justification for their twinkieness is the only explaination for their over-generalization.

It's not just the "whitewashed" ones - there are also J-girls who buy into the depiction of Korean guys in K-dramas and films.

It's basically people being dissatisfied w/ their own lives and blaming a particular group for their problems, while at the same time, idealizing another group solely based on media images.

Girls bash guys regardless of race. I've heard it time and time again, "why are guys such jerks? blah blah blah... blah blah" Just in Japanese girls' case, they've probably seen more Japanese guys than other guys and bash on them instead. But I've yet to hear this from experience, so I'm not too sure about my explanation lol.

Actually that's a good explaination. Japanese people in Japan basically only see Japanese guys. And if they go study abroad or something in the states, they usually are always in Japanese groups. Maybe it's just the whole grass is just greener on the other side thing. I just don't like the whole generalization....it's .....low class in my opinion. A refined girl, I believe, would know better.

ooohhhh....been gone awhile and the site looks a b it different! Anyways....sorry for the belated reply on this, but I think in general J-girls don't bash on J-guys in comparison to other races/cultures that much. There's always the usual complaints about guys in general......but......it's not like the majority of J-girls like non-J guys.
It could definitely be the grass is greener on the other side.....or these girls have just experienced something new and get caught up in the moment.
Anyways....there are always good and bad guys and in between guys in every culture/race right?

Yall know some weird J-girls. I've never met any that bash J-guys. I'm sure they exist but I certainly don't think it's epidemic. As for whitewashed ones, I mean, who cares? They represent a tiny minority that you find in every race of women--those who only go for men of another race--they get way more attention here than they are worth. So please stop making them seem as though they are a majority or even a significant minority. Not even close. The Japanese ladies I've known in my life seem to me to be very sweet and don't badmouth Japanese men or any Asian men that I've ever heard--even the ones that married white guys or black guys.
