What are you then, just out of curiousity? Can Indians have azn pride or is that only for Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc??? I'm Filipino-Chinese and have a bit of Spanish ancestry because my grandfather (Mother's side) is Spanish (so technically I'm 1/4th) No "azn pride" because frankly I think it is ridiculous I am proud of being "Asian" but not "azn". To me this whole "azn pride" thing is an identity crisis stage that teenagers go through during puberty in an attempt to establish themselves in a society where Asians are the minority. Ironically, their culture is a lovechild of many mixed cultures specifically the Hiphop culture. You see many "azn pride" advocates dress in hip hop clothing, speak ebonics (or attempt to and sound stupid doing it) and listen to hip hop or rap. So what is "azn pride"? It's a fad. And a dumb one at that. But hopefully y'all knew that. I'm just refreshing everyone's minds. |

QUOTE To me this whole "azn pride" thing is an identity crisis stage that teenagers go through during puberty in an attempt to establish themselves in a society where Asians are the minority. I really don't see anything wrong with it, so what if the kids do this, as longs there not joining a street gang and yelling azn pride "while blasting on fools"it's not really a problem. Anyway...welcome to AF |
