Narciso Santiago III (P2.9-M) Palace defends Arroyo riches Press Secretary Cerge Remonde defended Friday the increase in the net worth of President Arroyo and her two sons in Congress, which he said should be credited to sound investment. Remonde said that the P45-million increase in the net worth of the President was the result of her sale of a three-hectare lot in 2008 at P1,400 per square meter. He said Pampanga Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo and Camarines Sur Rep. Diosdado “Dato” Arroyo were able to profit from their investments in the stock market. “As you know, the Arroyos are very much into the stock market. I think they have made good investments so most of these increases are really on the basis of stock investments,” Remonde said. |

^^ Don't you find the C-5 controversy a bit odd?
First of all, Mann Villar is Manny Villar, a billionaire. He doesn't need to get cash. Even if they accuse Jamby Madrigal of corruption, I wouldn't believe it. Second, the proponents have political schemes at their backs. Panfilo Lacson is planning to run for president, plus Jamby is rumoured to run for VP. Also behind Lacson and Mardrigal are Roxas, Gordon and Legarda who are against Villar. Lastly, the Senate approved the freaking budget! I can't believe people overlooked that. According to Pimentel and Enrile, which I should say are old and wise, the senate DID approve the budget for C-5, where all senators signed. This is crazy. Someone like Manny Villar, who throughout his career was the richest senator and never had any corruption cases, is now being targeted because he is running for president. This is odd. Sure, let another idiot like de Castro, a political prostitute like Legarda and a killer like Lacson screw this country up. Good bye to credibility. |

Villar is a opportunist.. Trillanes for president! F*ck those self-aggrandizing, shockingly incompetent, ridiculously corrupt traditional politicians. Can't you people see? A politician SHOULD BE an opportunist. It's part of politics. It's a game, and they must survive. Trillanes, yeah sure, the guy has principles, I'll give him that. So does Villar. It's just that the media loves underdogs. And you know what? If Trillanes wasn't an opportunist, then why did he take the opportunity to run for Senate? Why did he take the open opportunity to make a coup? It's politics. This is the real life. Let's stop being idealists and start being realists. |

My parents know Villar personally so I know the negative aspects of him. |

Villar is still the least of all evils. He just has to survive that trumped up ethics investigation and find a fitting running mate. How about " Manny x2" ?

This is who I like for president if ever they run because they are poor therefore they maybe the least corrupt
21. ARROYO, Joker 11.05 million 22. ESCUDERO, Chiz 7.683 million 23. TRILLANES, Antonio IV 2.966 million For Escuedero he maybe a commie and Trillianes he maybe a front of Honasan so it is more likely that I would choose Joker Arroyo. ^^ Source? Please add a more recent date than the one in the source I gave. Yup,I would like Binay, but I prefer Trillanes in fact it is trillanes that wants left over food in restaurants that is not yet spoiled to be given to the poor. This post has been edited by Suzuka00: May 27 2009, 01:02 PM |

^^ Hate to break it to you. Giving over left overs from restaurants is wrong and dangerous. Those food could either be contagious or spoiled, and companies can't risk any lawsuits. The thing is, left overs may seem okay to eat but having been infected with germs will just cause the poor more damage.
Trillanes is a freaking idealist - too much of an idealist. He doesn't go back to reality. All he did was march and take over buildings - as if that helps that country. We have a freaking law and it's time we have leaders who go by the law and for the law. |
