im still new to this forum and still learning. but as i go through the threads and posts, i feel awkward to see that this taiwanese chat forum is full of serious, i mean really serious topics. i believe theres a lot more interesting and practical informations about taiwan to be shared with everyone. seeing all those thread names makes many who wants to post something else hesitate. what do you think?

there should be a taiwanese forum by itself with a serious talk sub forum.

of course, all the taiwan bashers will raise hell if taiwanese forum is not a subforum of chinese forum.

that's like saying Hong Kong & Macau which are S.A.R regions should have their own chat and also Gunag-Xi Zhuang, Inner Mongolia, Uyghur, Tibet Autonomous regions should have their own forums too.

you Taiwan pro-sepratists always amaze me with your intelligence, its not that i am bashing you or if any mainlanders like bashing you. Its just so confuseing, you guys don't know what tour doing and so that calls for makeing fun of or calling you profanity names.

If anything the above mentioned Autonomous regions and S.A.R regions i think if so should have their own forums 1st, but that won't happen. As far as i'm concerned Taiwan's culture and everything they do is very similiar to mainland ways. I mean the majority of language is Mandarin (pua-Tong wah) isn';t it?

Hong kong and Macau should establish their own forum. If you go to HK , you will see, that HK is totally different from mainland china. the culture, and standards of living is more like british than compared to the mainlanders.
I know bulldogg has never been to Taiwan before,
The Taiwan culture is totally different from china. Taiwan has their own fashion, pop culture totally different from china. Taiwan has their own movie stars and singers that Taiwan companies promote all over asia. These are the facts.
Mainland china is obcessed with trying to get other people to appricate their 5000 year culture and dressing in mao green uniform is considered hip.
If you try to dress in mao green uniform in Taiwan, you will be laughed at by everyone. Taiwan on the other hand loves western culture, and loves everything from hollywood. Very very different from the mainland chinese.

I was in china one and half years ago.
some of the trendy fashions were dark blue and green uniforms resembling mao era.
And there was a restaurant in guangzhou that the waitress dress in mao green uniform.
If you try to wear it in Taiwan, you will be laughed at so hard.

Taiwanese Chat should have had it's own section period. It really doesn't need to be anywhere near the Chinese Chat. IMO anyway.

I agree. Hong kOng should have and Macao should have also. They are considered Special Administrative Regions.

We have our own SAR flag. Taiwan still has the ROC flag as micc pointed out.

so beijing would be okay putting up "青天白日滿地紅" on their government buildings?

hk and macao have their sar flag, but is that the only flag flown on their government guildings?

also, if the people of hk and macao are so "chinese", why not drop their sar flags?

Because like you said. Hk and Macao are SARs. Taiwan also has a Chinese flag, just an outdated one.

so does that mean hk and macao folks are not truly 'chinese'?

maybe taiwan should change their outdated chinese flag to a new one reflecting reality... maybe they should use the four hearted flag!

What's the point? News about Taiwan will inexorably attract the same people to a new forum and vice versa for the Chinese forum.

vinnie is a joke, he thinks restaurant with reminiscent theme is considered a fashion trend, goes to show his pea head intelligence. and of couse he represents TI taiwan, what a joke. If taiwanese people go to china and say reminiscent theme is a fashion, he'll be laughed at so hard people think he's just out of mental hospital, no wonder people in china call some taiwanese TAIBAZI, accurate reflection indeed.
