for a whole month I wore my contacts without taking them out, even sleeping in them. I hate not being able to see, and taking them in and out is such a hassle.

This article isn't suprising. Sleeping with contacts and using them for too long just isn't a good idea period. I prefer not to wear mine for more than 6 hours at a time and if I do I will clean them periodically.

I have never accepted the idea of having a piece of plastic, or silicone covering my pupil for such a long time. If you wear a pair of rubber gloves for any length of time, your hand skin would turn white from lack of ventilation!

I think taking contacts out is a relief, I dont like wearing them over 12 - 14 hours, I would never sleep in them, they need should be dis-infected daily.

Ive been using RENU for 3 years, maybe I should dis-continue using it and change brands?

bausch & lomb is conducting an investigation. i think you should suspend using it and wait for the investigation outcome.

^ you can buy Renu anywhere that sells contacts solutions. but i think in some places, they're taking it off the shelf until they find out if there's really something wrong with it.

QUOTE (Ben @ Feb 22 2006, 07:25 PM)
I only slept with my contacts on a few times in my life. Usually when I'm crashing over at a friend's place.  I have contacts which you're suppose to change every two weeks, but I change it every month instead. I figure I only wear them like 5 days a week, I could use it longer than two weeks heh. embarassedlaugh.gif

I'm not using renu contacts, but I am using renu solutions  eek.gif

Thats what I do.
