New Signature Rule! Everyone Read Or Be Warn! Options

^someone got bonked cause a mod said the total between a sig and an av must be under 40k - i guess thats why some still get warned for their av

i believe its only the SIG must be 40k - can me more than one sig, just cannot exceed 40k total


and avatar must not exceed 15k i believe

We will be implementing a new signature rule. All signature pictures must be no BIGGER than 600wx150h and 40KB TOTAL. You can have more than one pic but it better not exceed 600wx150h or 40KB COMBINED.

To see if your signature picture is within size limit, just right click on your picture. Go to Property, and you will see the dimension of the picture along with the size. 1000 bytes = 1KB. So the picture better not exceed 40,000 Bytes.

You will have 3 days to change your signature picture. After that we will give warnings or straight out edit your profile.

The main reasons why I am doing this is because I'm hearing a lot about AsiaFinest loading slower and slower. Mainly due to the ever growing signature pictures. There is still a lot of 56k dial up and AOL dial up users.

Also we will also be enforcing the avatar rule now. All avatar must be 15kb and under!

can someone tell me what are bytes? and how the rule works with bytse because i do not know and i asked but no one is telling me... so how can i be liable if im breaking it, when i extend myself to inquire about it but no answer.....

Dalawapo: 1000 bytes = 1KB. So the picture better not exceed 40,000 Bytes.
your sign right now is 23816, which is good. But the dimesion is higher than 150h, so it's prohibited.

Your sign is 582x166h <------------the height is higher than 150.

This has got to be equal to or less than 600---------->582x166h<------This has got to be equal to or less that 150. (pixels)

And total size has got be less less that 40,000bytes

not neccessarily

image file-size is determined by the copression used. compression is determined by the differences in adjacent colors in your image. so if you have a very multicolored image but place big letters in solid colors in the middle - chances are file size decreases because there is less "color difference" in the solid text.

file-size can go up or down, it depends on the color makeup of the image and compression settings

i hate this comptuer, i wrote something and then click send but then it didnt work and i lost my words i typed...

anyways i basically said im computuer illterate i didnt know there is a difference between size dimension and size of things within the image....
