Heeelp
I'm Asian but I was born in the US and though I know Mandarin Chinese that's all I know. Lately I dunno why but I've made several friends from Malaysia and they're friends with each other and when they chat on a certain forum they use slang and I keep on having to ask the one I know more well to translate. I think she's getting annoyed.. Basically I get the thing with the -la ending but that's it. And I know lambik (spelling??!?!?) because my friend translated for me. But that's ALL!! ALL HELP GRATEFULLY AND APPRECIATIVELY RECIEVED! |

In comparison to mandarin Chinese grammar (if anyone speaks chinese) The grammar's like Thai and Laos. It's kind of similar to Chinese as well, but I would say it looks more like Thai/Laos grammatically. Not a hard language to learn at all. Good luck |

In comparison to mandarin Chinese grammar (if anyone speaks chinese) in mandarin chinese for example: wo hui shuo ii de er phu tong hua. direct translation in english: I speak a little mandarin. in malay: `Saya cakap sedikit mandarin` which is grammaticcally wrong. but ppl will still understand it.U should say, `Saya boleh bercakap sedikit mandarin` My point is...sumtimes, they use ber+ verb , ter+ verb ...etc |

The Manglish in Wikipedia is not so complete. But you'll get the rough idea on how Manglish is spoken through learning the Singlish. Hope you'll understand. ^__^ |
