Okay now im dentristy school. I dont know what i want to do, i was thinking of oral maxillary surgeon in the future but i dont know how it is. I know its like 3rd highest paying job in US but i dont live in US and money isnt that intresting for me. I just want to know if its fun or not. I dont want to do surgeries that can kill ppl (heart surgeon) so oral surgeon sounds like an okay proffesion for me.

Good or bad choice?

actually just went to an Oral maxillary surgeon to remove a wisdom tooth that was coming in all wierd. They had to use anestesia and it seemed like a small surgery to me. I woke up very loopy and talking nonsense!! lolz...so if you're squimish or not really into surgeries, not sure if it's your thing.

sorry i couldnt be more of a help.

good luck.

i have an oral maxillary surgeon who does regular dentistry in his gigantic office with lots of workers.
i saw him after a referral from my orthodontist (which i believe gets paid pretty well, too).

when i went to his office, he checked out my mouth for about 3 seconds and told me about
the surgery in 2 minutes. the next time i got to see him was on my next visit where he came
into the room to start an IV on me while i was under anesthesia. when i woke up 15 minutes
later after the surgery, he was gone before i could even thank him. on my next visit, a medical
assistant took out my stitches, he came in for about 3 seconds again and said everything
looked good. that was it!
