I have a question for you Chinese people. Historically, the tension between the two countries have been unfair taxation, where Vietnam must pay tributaries in exchange for peace. Now, in the modern era, Vietnam lives rather peacefully with neighboring countries. The only threat is from the China. Hypothetically speaking, if the current VN government were to sign some sort of borderless pact with China similar to the Eurozone, with joint development of the South China Sea and other disputed territories, where would this development take China and Vietnam in the next few decades, assuming Taiwan and other Chinese populated countries have already joined up with mainland China? Do you Chinese welcome this or see this as a sort of bad thing?

Why do Vietnamese care so much if they are apart of China or not? Or East Asian or South East Asian? By god! Vietnamese are the only one trying so hard trying to be either both side. >_>"

You're a fu-king idiot. Simple as that.
We would speak our own language, practice our own customs, check our borders for illegal Chinese immigrants, etc...with the main difference of having a more fluid political collaboration. Why would we, a proud Vietnamese people, give a $hit what a little monkey like you think? I go to China Town to buy my carrots from an old Chinese guy not because I like him but because he has good deals on his carrots. I don't need to know which region of China he's from or whether his little monkey grandson like you think about Vietnamese people. Do you understand? I see it as a waste of brain cells becuase its simply impossible. So you're telling me that War is inevitable then? That is not a good scenario.
We're not trying to be part of both side. We are both SE Asian and East Asian. "East" and "Asia" are white men's terminologies which you Chinese people accept since it implies that Europe is Central. I believe you Chinese people consider yourself "Central" too right? He he. I could see where this thread is heading. Why do Vietnamese care so much if they are apart of China or not? Or East Asian or South East Asian? By god! Vietnamese are the only one trying so hard trying to be either both side. >_>" |

Can't we all get along?
The 21's century is not about differences among each country. It is about religious and race. This post has been edited by Sengto: Feb 12 2012, 08:30 PM |

Vietnam is better off being themselves and start their own new culture and belief. I'm not sure why Vietnam has to follow up everything on China. Isn't Vietnam independent from China for the last 1,000 years ago? |

I don't see why China is a threat to Vietnam, your government isn't fluffy kitten got bullied by China like what's in your mind but pretty sneaky and greedy too, the South China Sea dispute isn't just a result of China being aggressive. However, both governments are holding back and trying to resolve issues in diplomatic manner, which is good. |

Vietnamese have no culture. They have to falsely claim other people's cultures. If a Vietnamese are portraying Laotian. Then the question should be? Why should we trust in Vietnamese after trying to portrayed us against the Chinese? I know dam well Laotian and Chinese get along very well together and with Vietnamese. But it seem as if Vietnamese are using Laotian just to to make it look like we are against the Chinese for political purposes. |
