QUOTE No. 1 middleweight contender Yushin "Thunder" Okami will face 185-pound champion Anderson "The Spider" Silva on Aug. 27 in Rio de Janeiro, UFC President Dana White told USA TODAY, confirming earlier rumors. Okami has been waiting for a title fight since earning the top contender spot in November with a decision win against Nate "The Great" Marquardt.
Silva suffered his only loss of the last six years when he was disqualified for kicking Okami while both men were grounded during a January 2006 Rumble on the Rock show (see below). Since then Silva has won 14 consecutive bouts. Okami has gone 12-3 over the same period. |

Although I think Sliva will win. I want Okami to win. Be the first all Asian to hold a title in UFC!

^ BJ and Machida are half Asian. dong hyun kim still needs to be tested - he is not a belt contender.
Cung Lee is 100% Asian but he's Strikeforce not UFC. |

For Okami to win he is going to have to grind it out with superior wrestling. Ground and pound Silva for a decision victory.
Probably won't be pretty but he is capable of doing it. |
