this is what happened to alot of my friends. after they enter a relationship they start to grow sideways. it's like they just spend their dating time eating n eating! maybe when they're in love they feel good and so they eat more?? confused.gif or maybe they don't care abt their appearance once they're in a relationship? i don't know cos it has never happened to me. maybe becos i always get into unhappy relationships. LOL sure.gif

what abt you? do you grow sideways when you're in a relationship?

Na not me cool30.gif My girl texts me sometimes or calls me in the morning and i dont answer right away, she then sends a second text message were she's pretty sh!tty embarassedlaugh.gif . She goes man where you at but its usually cause im jogging or at the gym in the morning or training at night embarassedlaugh.gif2

I jog and go gym to stay healthy not to look good cause im at a desk job and thats the opposite of healthy so whether im in a relationship or not i'll still do those things. I seen what desk jobs do to people once they hit 30 and it aint pretty nor does it look healthy eek.gif

Nope, don't put on weight in relationships. I think the reason some girls do is because they're trying to diet and keep fit so that they can attract a guy. Once they've got the guy they're so exhausted that they just quit. I'm not like that because I don't diet or try to keep fit. The only excercise I ever get is dancing at clubs, and I enjoy that so being in a relationship doesn't stop it. As for dieting, I don't diet. I'm not obsessed with food so I don't really think about it. Apart from being vegan, for entirely non-health-related reasons, I don't give diet much thought.

but these are the ppl who DON'T exercise at all! i have 2 friends who totally don't work out but remained slim, but when they get into a relationship/marriage, they started "ballooning", and i just go "you must be v contented & happy in the relationship." embarassedlaugh.gif

i guess the ppl who don't put on weight are the ones who retain their daily routine after attachment?

Metabolism, self-image and activities could all play certain roles for those who gained in their relationships. You always hear that when you get married you gain weight, but i know a lot of people who are have gained weight in relationships b/c they eat out all the time (there's a clue!).. and people who are more fit in relationships cuz they have someone to work out with. Sometimes being in a relationship does not change them at all. I guess it depends on the person and how being in a relationship affects you, as i've heard people in relationships that are not as happy and get depressed eat to feel better, therefore gain weight. Personally, being in a relationship has not changed my weight, if anything its less now.

during my jc days, my teacher told us that most of the students gained weight after they graduated... i was so happy, i tot that would happen to me. But it didn't. bawling.gif

Then, pple in their 20s told me "Oh... u will gain weight as u age". But when i'm now in my 20s, i never gain weight. Esp, after landing myself in a super high stress job, where everyone falls sick and shrinks. icon_sad.gif Now i've got weight stunt problem. bawling.gif I dun think i'll gain much weight even after i reach 30 or give birth. bawling.gif Tatz what all my friends tell me now... bawling.gif

I'm very short and petite, so my thinness is still ok... at least i'm not the boney thin kind. Is B too flat for a tiny person like me? icon_sad.gif

your cousin needs to give birth to another kid.

My cousin-in-law was really skinny. She's skinnier than me. After her first kid, she puts on weight but slimmed down after a while. It's only after her second that she starts looking shapely. biggthumpup.gif
