makati city is beautiful. I was very impressed when I saw the place. The buildings were modern and classy and the streets were nice and clean.

well, international photographers don't take pictures of the "beautiful side" of the Philippines. i noticed that even in Discovery Channel™ and Discovery Travel and Adventure Channel™... even other international news agencies and magazines. they tend to place pictures of Squatter's areas as a view of Manila and other places to the international community. no matter how hard the tourism tries to picture the Philippines as a beautiful nation, these magazines and television channels keep negating it as if they are angry or discriminating the PI itself.

the place is nice, very nice indeed. but the traffic is... despicable (an understatement
 ). don't go there when it's rush hour or else you're stuck.

i hate the traffic in makati, even on the residential side where my aunt use to live. and to me makati is just a part of manila, they just call it like city because it's different part of it. but yeah makati got some major skyscrapers, i hate going by it cuz i get nauseated.
